the opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference. Veroiska didn't throw this party every year not because they hated him, but because they had cared for him. a safe way to let out their feelings, their frustration, and sadness. and because everyone here experienced the same thing, not a single one will judge them.
Stolas made the point “do you realize how much you have to care to do something as stupid as that???” I mean it’s not really stupid but that’s the quote and it makes the point!
Imagine having so many people fall in love with you that you pushed away, and they throw a party dedicated to hating you, and most of them break down and cry at the memory of you, and you still cant seem to get it in your head that people care about you.
I can only agree with previous statements. I have worked on my self hatred for years and finally starting to make some progress. It's so big, this feeling that you are horrible and worthless that it does not matter how much praise or love you get - it's like you can hear it but it doesn't register. It feels like people are lying to you. And if someone does criticise you, that is only further proof you are the biggest scum of the world. You can't winn with self hatred. And it can't be cured by someone elses love, not even your own love (because it feels like lying to yourself) but humility and acceptance.
The fact that, even drunk off his ass and in so much pain, Stolas’s first reaction when asked for something as simple as a dance with another person is to look to Blitz for his express permission is heartbreaking 💔
This episode is the literal definition of being traumatized doesn't excuse hurting others, Blitzø hurt so many and it's crazy how many. I like how Verosika hosted these parties not to shame any of Blitzø's exes, but to reassure them that they're not alone in what they're going through. She was so nice to Stolas the entire night. I fricken love her.
I also feel it important to note that Blitz is 100% allowed to think that Stolas looks down on him. Like, man has a giant house and a staff of employees made up of Imps. The pet name “my little imp” isn’t cute when it’s based on classism/ race
Also, note how even though Stolas literally said "I don't look down on you" so insistently, he not only didn't actually elaborate on that sentiment with tangible examples for his case, and instead swerved to a frankly rather classist accusation of him being just like Striker. But, he also literally was looking down at Blitzø as he said it, due to his taller stature, realized that as he was speaking, and promptly sat down to try and look less domineering. It's almost as if he knows that while he may truly care about him, Stolas still has to check his privileges, and come to terms with the fact that, regardless of not doing so intentionally or maliciously, he nonetheless was exploiting a power dynamic for his benefit. Blitzø obviously has tons of faults as well, but his flaws are far more obvious at face-value, in comparison.
At the end, Verosika realized that Blitzø belongs at the “I Hate Blitzø” party more than anyone. Also, that twist Martha and Mrs. Mayberry ship is wild and I love it.
Right in all the craziness I almost forgot Blitzø hates himself so yeah he would be the guest of honor at the party dedicated to hating him, 🎶Now That Is Irony🎶
Idk if y'all remember, in the spring break episode they kinda say it as a bit, but Verosika does reveal that Blitz broke up with her by stealing her credit card, ditching her at a hotel, and maxing out said credit card, and then probably ghosting her, so now knowing the context that he did that in response to her confessing her feelings for him makes it make TOTAL sense why she hates him so much. He didn't just break up with her, he went completely nuclear and humiliated her

Honestly how Blitzø coming to his party of "I hate Blitz" really made him realize he truly hated himself. Self-hate hurts more than any other kind of hate.

During their talk, Verosika breaks the railings for her to sit while Blitzo sits down without breaking it due to his small size. This means that while they are talking, Verosika is the one that's free while Blitzo is still trapped by his self-loathing and other issues.
Tears aside, that moment where Martha and Mayberry, the girl who tried to kill her, hit it off is one of the biggest plot twists in the story. It made my day and I'm sure it made Elijah's too.

my fan-cannon is that martha and mayberry say they're just "enemies with benefits" and argue constantly, but they're super domestic, practically live together, rarely do it, and are super wholesome if not crude. just imagine Mayberry being good with martha's kids.
I really do love Verosika. Yeah she's smokin' hot, but under the surface too. She hosts this maliciously-formulated party to comfort people who were hurt by Blitz and assure them that they are not alone in what they are going through. Even during her one-on-one with Blitz at the end, she clearly still detests him but you can also see that part of her still cares. She sees that Blitz hates himself more than every ex at the party combined and genuinely does wish the best for him in fixing himself, just at a distance.
Yeah and Everyone in the comments of this episodes reaction on various chanels keeps saying, "i dont hate Verosika anymore or think she's bad," But I never hated her or thought she was bad, she never was bad? She was always just his ex. Hell, even fizz was just his ex friend. Neither were bad, and we were always led to believe it was Blitz fault that both of them had beef, especially during truth seekers and the Ozzie episode. Guess im just suprised people expected less especially after the fizz arc.

As sad as I am that Blitz and Stolas didn't make amends in this episode, Blitz needed to learn this lesson after his actions in "The Full Moon". I'm glad that he might start to genuinely understand how badly he fucked up---not just recently with Stolas, but with his other exes. I for one am also VERY happy that we now get some fleshing-out of Verosika. She seems like she genuinely was into Blitz and that he genuinely broke her heart. Also, the Mrs. Mayberry x Martha twist made me laugh like crazy---it was the LAST thing I was expecting to see. XD Glad I managed to catch the premiere!

That fact how drunk Stolas feels safer/more comfortable with a drunk stranger than Blitzø really breaks my heart a bit. We've saw Blitzø and Stolas the whole series slowly break apart but the succubus (if thats how its spelt) and Stolas click together instantly.

This episode was good but also heartbreaking. I get why Blitzø hesitated. And it was nice that he had an actual apology for both Stolas and Verosika. It was also nice for Verosika to realize that he also hated himself and didn't go nuts and throw him out.
Verosika being the only person in the party who realises that Blitzø hates himself so much doesn't trust himself anymore to the point he knows no one will love him anymore. I'm glad that Verosika still cares for him. Also this episode was satisfying and depressing at the same time.
6:34 Honestly when Stolas said “I’ve never looked down on you” all I could think about was when Stolas once put out a cigar on Blitzø horn while telling him how important his book is to do his job and how it wasn’t supposed to be used by “itty bitty imps” such as Blitzø. (I know he probably didn’t mean it in a bad way but from Blitzø POV when Stolas talk like that THAT is what Blitzø knows more. So I can’t blame either. It’s a much NEEDED break for both of them. To heal and understand.
Verosika giving Blitzø a heart cake was so touching. I like how this implies she is trying to encourage him to develop compassion for the people he hurt. And the tattoo on her arm with Blitz's name crossed out becoming her brand symbol is heartripping.

For Blitz to have a meaningful relationship, he must return to his first: the romance that never was, Fizz. A talk with Verosika would be advisable as well.
The fact that the incubus guy made Stolas smile, the thing that Blitzo couldn’t do for months. I’m so glad that Stolas is finally happy and I hope that Blitzo will find his way too :)
@@PeachBoba1523 As great as that is for Blitz as a character, it's a shame to see that this is likely the last we will not only see of Stolas and Blitz not only as...well..a thing...but probably the last we will likely see of Stolas at all as a recurring character, as if their dynamic is fully done and won't come back for the two to actually get together, then theres very little reason to being Stolas back into the focal point besides Striker and Stolas' ex. But I suppose I'll only assuming too much, we will see when we get the next 3 episodes
I hope the two have a chance to actually have a shot together now that Blitz knows fully how Stplas feels, but perhaps it's better the two go their own separate ways. Either way we can only wait and watch, hoping for what may never be.
@@PeachBoba1523 Well I certainly hope so, cause there is a real chance they could end that ark of both of the characters, since Blitz is now fully aware of how he hurt Stolas and we know he is about to likely develop further in the episodes to come. And by that point Stolas might just be happy with that other guy. Hell the dude is an incubus, it's his whole job to make the other person feel wanted and all that. So yeah. I can see it either going like that or Stolas just misses Blitz to the point he meets with him and asks Blitz outright one last time for a chance. Or maybe its Blitz who asks. Who knows. Theres a real chance they just are not able to be a thing now because of how bad things got
Side note related to the Martha and Mayberry thing. Remember when Blitz asked Mayberry, "Was she hotter?" Mayberry didn't say no. Imagine if Mayberry's main reason for placing a hit on Martha was to have an opportunity to see what all the fuss was about. Probably not what happened, but it's a funny idea until we get an actual explanation of how they went from then to now. Perhaps explained in a short.
Stolas just hitting the emergency stop button on crying and masking up was the most relatable moment ever. I really hope he remembers everything after he sobers up. This episode was perfect.

Stolas doesn’t internally look down on imps, but that’s not how he acts. Implicit bias my dear bird boy. Also also I love how this show doesn’t sugarcoat how self-destructive and toxic Blitz is/was. Alas a lot of people lack the media literacy to appreciate that.
24:03 right here Blitzø got the best reason he had to go to that party. He got immediate exposure to the effect he had on people he’s mingled and diddled with in the past. Only after hearing Stolas sing his heart out, and his enlightening conversations with Stolas and Verosika, his eyes, for a moment, were finally opened. The sorrow and pain he’s imparted onto others, and the regret he fells when he sees that is finally hitting him. Him losing Stolas, and him feeling genuinely sorry for what he’s done, should be enough for him to look into himself and better himself, and eventually, hopefully, go back to Stolas and get back together. If the rest of this season continues with the way it is, maybe Ghostf***ers will explore the effect he has on M&M, the people he stalks and harasses outside of work CONSTANTLY. Plus maybe M&M can help fix him
After seeing how this entire episode plays out, we’re going to all endure a lengthy summer of no Helluva Boss. Once again, Vivzie and crew really outdid themselves with the emotional nature of the show. And Brandon Rogers? Man. Aside from the usual witty banter, he really projected his energy into Blitz’s anger and frustration. Blitz tries to seek atonement, but despite his half-baked apologies. He is really trying to be the better person in his most sincere way.
To be fair, Stolas SAYING he doesn't look down upon Blitz doesn't change that he does, even if he doesn't do so entirely consciously. The fact that he came around to being open about his feelings for Blitz just shows he loves him, not that he doesn't think of him (or his species) as lesser.
I think in his song tho (Maybe there's somethin' here for us to glean For you to teach, and me to try and learn) that he wants to understand blitz and maybe he can help stolas see things from his perspective.
I dont think the problem lies in that he sees him as lesser, (because he wouldnt still bow if he saw Blitzø below himself) the issue is that his repeated offense of speaking to him in species-centric terms of endearment, still comes off as condecending no matter his intentions, so they'll still make Blitz feel shitty even if though they come from a place of reverence
Stolas squeezing his butler while talking to Stella during the Asmodeus's Tears episode made me cringe. He definitely doesn't treat imps as equals. Even when spending time with Blitzø, for the longest time, he pinched his cheek or reminded him that Blitzø reflected on him.. it wasn't about their relationship, it was about what their relationship meant to all of Hell. Blitzø felt like a servant, WAS a servant, for so much of it. Stolas could see how the transaction was wrong. Yet how could Stolas also not see that would make Blitzø feel inferior?
The fact that Tex and Verosika were gaslighting Stolas that it’s _all_ on Blitz when he’s realizing it’s his fault as well, even though there’s guilt on both side is so just… _AHHH_
It is important to consider that they have no reason not to. They're running a party that hosts the full spectrum of ways Blitzo has hurt his exes, and at least a few of them are still broken. So they have no reason to think this isn't a case of Stolas blaming himself for Blitzo's actions. We as the audience know that Blitzo used Stolas, then robbed and ghosted him by always having excuses for it being a bad time until Stolas set up the deal. He also ghosted Stolas basically all of season 2 so far, which he admits to both the audience and Moxxie, tries to gaslight Stolas by lying about why he'd been skipping their deal and guilting him by trying to say he wasn't being fair. Then he didn't try to take a moment to process Stolas's confession, he jumped straight into denial and then to confrontation when he realized Stolas had been serious. So they also had a bit of point, because Stolas was questioning if it was all on him. Which it isn't. It's half on him.
Honestly I like this episode a lot. Sure, it's an angst-filled slap in the face but I think it'll make the arc where they (hopefully) make up a lot more rewarding. It'll feel like it's earned.
Okay, first, I was not expecting the twist of Martha and Mayberry being together but good for them. Second, I didn't know Blitz had so many exes. Third, I really liked this deeper look at Verosika and her perspective of how Blitz' actions hurt her. It really showed that her hate was out of pain of what Blitz did and how he treated her love for him, and the same way he did with his other exes. It's sweet that Verosika made the party as a kind of support group for those like her who had their hearts broken by Blitz and to show that they were there for each other. It's also an interesting change that Verosika saw that Blitz belonged at the 'I Hate Blitz' party because he hates himself the most as well as how he is now, and gave him advice on his path to change. Plus, the great progression in Blitz and Verosika's relationship, that she calls him Blitz instead of Blitzo which shows that there's healing between them. Fourth, It's really deep that Stolas just wants to be someone's special someone in their life. It's nice that Stolas felt so happy as he danced feeling loved and wanted. Fifth, This gave a deep insight into the levels of self hate that Blitz has for himself which flows into his relationships. For Blitz, it's easier believing to be in a relationship when there's strings attached as it eases his self loathing when there's a motive to the relationship. However, when it gets to a point that the other party genuinely loves Blitz, he can't accept that because he feels that he's unlovable and that he isn't worthy of the other person's love, so his response to it is to always run away which ends up hurting the other person more. Sixth, this look at Blitz' self hate almost mirrors Fizz's insecurity of not being enough. As Fizz also didn't feel like he wasn't worthy of someone like Ozzie as he saw himself as broken. Blitz sees himself with hate of not being worthy of the love of others because he's broken and made many mistakes. However, while Fizz was able to have the support to heal, Blitz would run away before anyone could help him heal, he even ran away from him healing himself. Seventh, I feel this episode gave us an insight to how Blitz may win back Stolas by first mending the oldest bonds in his life and making up for those mistakes in order to accept, understand and grow. For example with: 1. Fizz - Blitz accepted the mistakes and miscommunications of the past between him and Fizz as well as acknowledging the mistakes in his past that hurt most. Now Fizz and Blitz are rekindling their friendship and have grown close as friends again. 2. Verosika - Blitz acknowledges how his actions hurt Verosika and many people like her who loved him but he left. Blitz acknowledges the level of self hate he has for himself and wants to do better to stop being the way he was. He and Verosika may not be much of friends but they're civil with each other which is a start now. So, with how things have gone so far for Blitz with Fizz and Verosika, I'd say that the next episode would be Blitz acknowledging and atoning for his mistakes with his sister Barbie as well as looking deeper into what broke their sibling bond, their pain concerning the loss of their mother and how both of them can heal. I think once Blitz mends his past bonds or atones for his past mistakes, it'll show him how he can win back Stolas. This will also be a chance for Stolas to fully explore how he wants to feel wanted by a partner as he determine whether that partner he still wants is Blitz.
Man... When I started watching this series I thought to myself "lol, demons killing for money! Funny!" This developed into something I could have never imagined. Some people do hate how the whole idea of murdering humans because someone wants revenge was completely sidelined, but I think it was great. This show has become so relatable, it's crazy! I know there's something wrong with me because I can relate to Blitz and Stolas, but it's still such a great series.
This episode is like a textbook example of "You don't know what you had until you lost it". This arc is getting painful but seriously awesome, and now for the even painfuler wait for next episode!

Someone else noticed that the blanket that Blitzø used to "disguise" himself at the party, seemed like it wanted to represent how broken this Blitz is... I mean, when the imps get hurt and the wound heals, the scar is white as half the blitz face. The blanket was completely white with red spots, representing the BIG scar that Blitz has with him and his past.... (it's my opinion, I don't know if anyone thinks the same...) (please tell me if I wrote something wrong in English, no It's my first language 🥺)
Honestly, I feel like I get why Blitz hurts anyone who admits they love him. When he first loved someone (Fizz), he intended in confessing his love, and that one event (though it was more of him bailing from that chance) caused him to hurt that person both physically and mentally. Which makes me feel like when someone else says they love him, he runs away in fear the same thing will happen to them. And the worst part about that is it only makes things worse for that person. That’s why I loved the scene with Verosika and Blitz, I loved the fact that Verosika and Blitz were able to make somewhat of an amends through acknowledgment Blitz’s past mistakes and talking about it. It was a good way to show that Blitz’s wrongdoings while still acknowledging that these wrongdoings don’t mean Blitz doesn’t still have the capability to be good.
Blitz letting Stolas go was Honestly the best decision for him and Stolas 😢 Blitz wants Stolas to be Happy he’s trying to change so Blitz lets Stolas go 💔 it’s hard to let someone go and this episode Apology Tour feels like Real Life 😢 The song at all 2 u is so well done.
Even tho stolas isn’t completely innocent since he made a bunch of imp type comments to Blitz in season 1 at least stolas is honest about everything while blitz being self destructive is hard to watch especially after knowing he dipped on Verosika when she said she loved him like wow. I would be just like her mad and embarrassed after wha he did to her. Funny seeing Martha again didn’t expect that and also didn’t expect the teacher to be sleeping with her former enemy lol. Stolas’s va sounds great with these past few songs like seriously wow.

@@manyharmons4308 There's a lot of struggle between understanding when a character is the protagonist's enemy/someone they don't like, and understanding when a character is meant to be a bad guy. Verosika is way less bad of a person than Blitzo, but she's someone he doesn't like. But a lot of people took that latter information and completely ignored the former, painting her to be awful even though between them, she's his victim.
Have you forgotten the multiple times Blitz has insutled people on the show? How many of those insults are about them being fat or sluts or how they look like (like goat, fish etc.) Stolas 100% doesnt understand how those comments have affectes Blitz, but Blitz knows how hurtful his comments are and he still uses them, he does it on purpose and that's waay worse
Martha and Ms Mayberry going from enemies to possible lovers was an awesome callback from the very first episode! Also poor Stolas! He sacrificed everything for someone who can't express his feelings! 💔
Verosika actually trying to help Blitzø see the error of his ways is sweet. The moment with her really emphasises that she doesn't just want to hate Blitzø to hate him. Sure he's awful, but she's able to finally open his eyes so he can understand it, and why he should. Hopefully this will be his final wake up call.

Exactly 💯 Regardless of what Blitz went through back then, he's still a grown man, responsible for his own actions and behaviors. He needs to learn to act like it and own up to his mistakes and bad decisions. I'm glad he actually learned something at the end
yeah... like this is the dude whose soon to be ex-wife has been constantly yelling at him too, so it's probably something he's extra sensitive of. If Blitz had calmly gone "hey this is a lot, give me a minute to process" and Stolas responded the way he did it would be one thing, but Blitz was actively berating him. Okay, so next episode is "Ghostfuckers," and we know Blitz is dealing with his trauma in that one. Which means we should be getting a real apology in either "Mastermind" or "Sinsmas." They probably won't get back together right away, but I'm predicting that "Mastermind" will be the Goetia episode, and we should get the apology there, not through words, perhaps, but through actions.
When Verosika kind of helped blitz in a way when he was feeling upset about stolas dancing with someone else and the way she wanted to see him as someone who wants to change while at the same time giving him space to even though she hates him is a kind gesture for Verosika to do ☺️
I like how Blitz finally apologizing to Verosica doesn't immediately make them friends, but they part with an amicable understanding. This was a small step in the right direction for Blitz, but a step nonetheless.

Verosika was so amazing this episode. I love how she gives him despite everything even a comfort cake. 🎂 She knows she messed up too but still cares for the other people who got really hurt by Blitz. And her friendship with Stolas was not something that I expected to need. Like her kissing him and he blushing. So cute 💖
I can relate to Stolas in this episode. I had an ex that I recently broke up with cuz I finally stopped being obsessed with her. It really hurts to give everything you have into someone just for them to give less than only 20% of themself. I realized that how I was being treated wasn't ok, I deserved better. I deserved someone who would love me as much as I love them, and not just 20%. I've recently been talking to this girl and she's been the partner that I've always wanted, but I find that bc of my ex (the one I was talking about) I can't put my heart into this new girl cuz I'm afraid that I'll get hurt again 😭
I have a feeling that one of two things will happen: either Stolis will end up in a relationship with this rebound guy, but the dude is going to be killed by Striker, or the rebound dude is only going to be a one-night stand for Stolis, but due to the bounty being over Stolis' head, it will bring him and Blitz back together. By that point, I hope that Blitz has had enough time to get his act together. I hope that he and Stolis can eventually have a healthy, happy relationship in the end.
OMG! I dont know if anyone will see this but this is something cool you might not have noticed. You know how blitz says he wants to earn the gem? Well he did. Sort of. In eps 6 s2 where fizz and blitz make up their friendship again, at the end of the eps when fizzy is getting his arm replaced, fizz says that blitz can have the crystal because he 'earned' it. IDK IF ANYONE HAS MADE THIS CONNECTION BUT OMG I JUST FIGURED THIS OUT :0
I'm not sure everyone at that party are Blitzø's exes. Some of them may be +1s. I know Tex doesn't have strong feelings for him but likely came because he works for Verosika. This is a safe place for people he's hurt but at a certain point it has also become a social event.
one thing i noticed is that the cake slice Verosica gave him was a literal heart which i think was just a visual representation of the expression "eat your heart out" blitzø, which literally means to "suffer from excessive longing for someone or something unattainable" and emphasize feelings of jealousy and regret which makes PERFECT sense :((( WAHHHHHH😭😭😭😭
This episode BROKE ME. In a lot of ways. It gave me a painful reminder of just how lonely and hopeless I feel sometimes… and how much my bouts of self-loathing can make me feel like I’m just gonna die alone. 😞
Yeah this might be my favorite episode. The fight in the beginning was pretty real feeling at times, and you can understand why Stolas gets a little more bitter about what happened. And I know some people wanted Stolas to aknowledge how he messed up but Blitz isn't ready yet. He needs to understand his own toxicity and mistakes before he can take in any more connection. They needed to end for them to get back together and this episode was a fantastic first step
full moon was kinda always on the losing position bc it HAD TO end with Blitz and Stolas having that fight and separating. But they had to fill in the middle part somehow. So all the good emotional relationship/character meat was bound to be in other episodes.
It's interesting cuz when we first meet her i think that she tells us exactly how blitzø reacted to her saying shat she loves him. It's played as a joke then but apparently he ditcher her at a hotel, stole her car and credit card drove down to wrath and then maxed her card out on horse riding lessons. I could be wrong, but she sounded really bitter about that...
Martha and Mayberry being together caught me so off guard that my lesbian little brain stopped working the rest of the episode Happy pride month to them 💞
I appreciate all the extra details this episode, specifically the costumes other demons were wearing at the party. Yeah ya got your classic generic Halloween stuff, but I liked actually recognizing some specifically. There's Kill Bill, Freddy Krueger, Beetlejuice, and a couple dressed as Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy from the animated series. Probably others I missed I'm sure. Makes the Halloween party feel more legit to me. A great episode!
I LOVE TEX, VEROSIKA, AND STOLAS SINNING, and I know that Stolas and Blitz still love each other deeply, and I hope in the future we get to see them get back together!

I can only agree with previous statements. I have worked on my self hatred for years and finally starting to make some progress.
It's so big, this feeling that you are horrible and worthless that it does not matter how much praise or love you get - it's like you can hear it but it doesn't register. It feels like people are lying to you. And if someone does criticise you, that is only further proof you are the biggest scum of the world. You can't winn with self hatred.
And it can't be cured by someone elses love, not even your own love (because it feels like lying to yourself) but humility and acceptance.
Sure, a gathering full of people who have left you when things got tough and you showed your flaws and now hate you is BOUND to make you feel loved.
The fact that, even drunk off his ass and in so much pain, Stolas’s first reaction when asked for something as simple as a dance with another person is to look to Blitz for his express permission is heartbreaking 💔
It's also kind of fucked up. Like, yeah, it can be he was just being respectful, but I get the feeling it's also a dependent kind of thing.
This episode is the literal definition of being traumatized doesn't excuse hurting others, Blitzø hurt so many and it's crazy how many. I like how Verosika hosted these parties not to shame any of Blitzø's exes, but to reassure them that they're not alone in what they're going through. She was so nice to Stolas the entire night. I fricken love her.

Also, note how even though Stolas literally said "I don't look down on you" so insistently, he not only didn't actually elaborate on that sentiment with tangible examples for his case, and instead swerved to a frankly rather classist accusation of him being just like Striker. But, he also literally was looking down at Blitzø as he said it, due to his taller stature, realized that as he was speaking, and promptly sat down to try and look less domineering. It's almost as if he knows that while he may truly care about him, Stolas still has to check his privileges, and come to terms with the fact that, regardless of not doing so intentionally or maliciously, he nonetheless was exploiting a power dynamic for his benefit. Blitzø obviously has tons of faults as well, but his flaws are far more obvious at face-value, in comparison.
At the end, Verosika realized that Blitzø belongs at the “I Hate Blitzø” party more than anyone. Also, that twist Martha and Mrs. Mayberry ship is wild and I love it.

As sad as I am that Blitz and Stolas didn't make amends in this episode, Blitz needed to learn this lesson after his actions in "The Full Moon". I'm glad that he might start to genuinely understand how badly he fucked up---not just recently with Stolas, but with his other exes.
I for one am also VERY happy that we now get some fleshing-out of Verosika. She seems like she genuinely was into Blitz and that he genuinely broke her heart. Also, the Mrs. Mayberry x Martha twist made me laugh like crazy---it was the LAST thing I was expecting to see. XD

This episode was good but also heartbreaking. I get why Blitzø hesitated. And it was nice that he had an actual apology for both Stolas and Verosika. It was also nice for Verosika to realize that he also hated himself and didn't go nuts and throw him out.

@@PeachBoba1523 As great as that is for Blitz as a character, it's a shame to see that this is likely the last we will not only see of Stolas and Blitz not only as...well..a thing...but probably the last we will likely see of Stolas at all as a recurring character, as if their dynamic is fully done and won't come back for the two to actually get together, then theres very little reason to being Stolas back into the focal point besides Striker and Stolas' ex. But I suppose I'll only assuming too much, we will see when we get the next 3 episodes
I hope the two have a chance to actually have a shot together now that Blitz knows fully how Stplas feels, but perhaps it's better the two go their own separate ways. Either way we can only wait and watch, hoping for what may never be.

And by that point Stolas might just be happy with that other guy. Hell the dude is an incubus, it's his whole job to make the other person feel wanted and all that. So yeah. I can see it either going like that or Stolas just misses Blitz to the point he meets with him and asks Blitz outright one last time for a chance. Or maybe its Blitz who asks. Who knows. Theres a real chance they just are not able to be a thing now because of how bad things got
Side note related to the Martha and Mayberry thing. Remember when Blitz asked Mayberry, "Was she hotter?" Mayberry didn't say no. Imagine if Mayberry's main reason for placing a hit on Martha was to have an opportunity to see what all the fuss was about. Probably not what happened, but it's a funny idea until we get an actual explanation of how they went from then to now. Perhaps explained in a short.
Stolas just hitting the emergency stop button on crying and masking up was the most relatable moment ever. I really hope he remembers everything after he sobers up. This episode was perfect.

24:03 right here Blitzø got the best reason he had to go to that party. He got immediate exposure to the effect he had on people he’s mingled and diddled with in the past. Only after hearing Stolas sing his heart out, and his enlightening conversations with Stolas and Verosika, his eyes, for a moment, were finally opened. The sorrow and pain he’s imparted onto others, and the regret he fells when he sees that is finally hitting him. Him losing Stolas, and him feeling genuinely sorry for what he’s done, should be enough for him to look into himself and better himself, and eventually, hopefully, go back to Stolas and get back together. If the rest of this season continues with the way it is, maybe Ghostf***ers will explore the effect he has on M&M, the people he stalks and harasses outside of work CONSTANTLY. Plus maybe M&M can help fix him
After seeing how this entire episode plays out, we’re going to all endure a lengthy summer of no Helluva Boss.
Once again, Vivzie and crew really outdid themselves with the emotional nature of the show. And Brandon Rogers? Man. Aside from the usual witty banter, he really projected his energy into Blitz’s anger and frustration. Blitz tries to seek atonement, but despite his half-baked apologies. He is really trying to be the better person in his most sincere way.
To be fair, Stolas SAYING he doesn't look down upon Blitz doesn't change that he does, even if he doesn't do so entirely consciously. The fact that he came around to being open about his feelings for Blitz just shows he loves him, not that he doesn't think of him (or his species) as lesser.

I dont think the problem lies in that he sees him as lesser, (because he wouldnt still bow if he saw Blitzø below himself) the issue is that his repeated offense of speaking to him in species-centric terms of endearment, still comes off as condecending no matter his intentions, so they'll still make Blitz feel shitty even if though they come from a place of reverence
Stolas squeezing his butler while talking to Stella during the Asmodeus's Tears episode made me cringe. He definitely doesn't treat imps as equals.
Even when spending time with Blitzø, for the longest time, he pinched his cheek or reminded him that Blitzø reflected on him.. it wasn't about their relationship, it was about what their relationship meant to all of Hell. Blitzø felt like a servant, WAS a servant, for so much of it. Stolas could see how the transaction was wrong. Yet how could Stolas also not see that would make Blitzø feel inferior?
"I wanna feel like I am earning my way to Earth." I really like how this highlights the way Blitz sees things.
The fact that Tex and Verosika were gaslighting Stolas that it’s _all_ on Blitz when he’s realizing it’s his fault as well, even though there’s guilt on both side is so just… _AHHH_
It is important to consider that they have no reason not to. They're running a party that hosts the full spectrum of ways Blitzo has hurt his exes, and at least a few of them are still broken. So they have no reason to think this isn't a case of Stolas blaming himself for Blitzo's actions.
We as the audience know that Blitzo used Stolas, then robbed and ghosted him by always having excuses for it being a bad time until Stolas set up the deal. He also ghosted Stolas basically all of season 2 so far, which he admits to both the audience and Moxxie, tries to gaslight Stolas by lying about why he'd been skipping their deal and guilting him by trying to say he wasn't being fair. Then he didn't try to take a moment to process Stolas's confession, he jumped straight into denial and then to confrontation when he realized Stolas had been serious.
So they also had a bit of point, because Stolas was questioning if it was all on him. Which it isn't. It's half on him.
Honestly I like this episode a lot. Sure, it's an angst-filled slap in the face but I think it'll make the arc where they (hopefully) make up a lot more rewarding. It'll feel like it's earned.

Okay, first, I was not expecting the twist of Martha and Mayberry being together but good for them.
Second, I didn't know Blitz had so many exes.
Third, I really liked this deeper look at Verosika and her perspective of how Blitz' actions hurt her.
It really showed that her hate was out of pain of what Blitz did and how he treated her love for him, and the same way he did with his other exes.
It's sweet that Verosika made the party as a kind of support group for those like her who had their hearts broken by Blitz and to show that they were there for each other.
It's also an interesting change that Verosika saw that Blitz belonged at the 'I Hate Blitz' party because he hates himself the most as well as how he is now, and gave him advice on his path to change.
Plus, the great progression in Blitz and Verosika's relationship, that she calls him Blitz instead of Blitzo which shows that there's healing between them.
Fourth, It's really deep that Stolas just wants to be someone's special someone in their life.
It's nice that Stolas felt so happy as he danced feeling loved and wanted.
Fifth, This gave a deep insight into the levels of self hate that Blitz has for himself which flows into his relationships.
For Blitz, it's easier believing to be in a relationship when there's strings attached as it eases his self loathing when there's a motive to the relationship.
However, when it gets to a point that the other party genuinely loves Blitz, he can't accept that because he feels that he's unlovable and that he isn't worthy of the other person's love, so his response to it is to always run away which ends up hurting the other person more.
Sixth, this look at Blitz' self hate almost mirrors Fizz's insecurity of not being enough.
As Fizz also didn't feel like he wasn't worthy of someone like Ozzie as he saw himself as broken.
Blitz sees himself with hate of not being worthy of the love of others because he's broken and made many mistakes.
However, while Fizz was able to have the support to heal, Blitz would run away before anyone could help him heal, he even ran away from him healing himself.
Seventh, I feel this episode gave us an insight to how Blitz may win back Stolas by first mending the oldest bonds in his life and making up for those mistakes in order to accept, understand and grow. For example with:
1. Fizz - Blitz accepted the mistakes and miscommunications of the past between him and Fizz as well as acknowledging the mistakes in his past that hurt most.
Now Fizz and Blitz are rekindling their friendship and have grown close as friends again.
2. Verosika - Blitz acknowledges how his actions hurt Verosika and many people like her who loved him but he left.
Blitz acknowledges the level of self hate he has for himself and wants to do better to stop being the way he was.
He and Verosika may not be much of friends but they're civil with each other which is a start now.
So, with how things have gone so far for Blitz with Fizz and Verosika, I'd say that the next episode would be Blitz acknowledging and atoning for his mistakes with his sister Barbie as well as looking deeper into what broke their sibling bond, their pain concerning the loss of their mother and how both of them can heal.
I think once Blitz mends his past bonds or atones for his past mistakes, it'll show him how he can win back Stolas.
This will also be a chance for Stolas to fully explore how he wants to feel wanted by a partner as he determine whether that partner he still wants is Blitz.

This developed into something I could have never imagined. Some people do hate how the whole idea of murdering humans because someone wants revenge was completely sidelined, but I think it was great.

I know there's something wrong with me because I can relate to Blitz and Stolas, but it's still such a great series.
This episode is like a textbook example of "You don't know what you had until you lost it".
This arc is getting painful but seriously awesome, and now for the even painfuler wait for next episode!

Someone else noticed that the blanket that Blitzø used to "disguise" himself at the party, seemed like it wanted to represent how broken this Blitz is... I mean, when the imps get hurt and the wound heals, the scar is white as half the blitz face. The blanket was completely white with red spots, representing the BIG scar that Blitz has with him and his past.... (it's my opinion, I don't know if anyone thinks the same...) (please tell me if I wrote something wrong in English, no It's my first language 🥺)
Stolas went from a fancy suppressed-gay horny demon owl to probably the deepest and most relatable character in the entire series.
Honestly, I feel like I get why Blitz hurts anyone who admits they love him. When he first loved someone (Fizz), he intended in confessing his love, and that one event (though it was more of him bailing from that chance) caused him to hurt that person both physically and mentally. Which makes me feel like when someone else says they love him, he runs away in fear the same thing will happen to them. And the worst part about that is it only makes things worse for that person. That’s why I loved the scene with Verosika and Blitz, I loved the fact that Verosika and Blitz were able to make somewhat of an amends through acknowledgment Blitz’s past mistakes and talking about it. It was a good way to show that Blitz’s wrongdoings while still acknowledging that these wrongdoings don’t mean Blitz doesn’t still have the capability to be good.
Blitz letting Stolas go was Honestly the best decision for him and Stolas 😢 Blitz wants Stolas to be Happy he’s trying to change so Blitz lets Stolas go 💔 it’s hard to let someone go and this episode Apology Tour feels like Real Life 😢

This episode actually made me appreciate Verosika more than before as a person.
Even tho stolas isn’t completely innocent since he made a bunch of imp type comments to Blitz in season 1 at least stolas is honest about everything while blitz being self destructive is hard to watch especially after knowing he dipped on Verosika when she said she loved him like wow. I would be just like her mad and embarrassed after wha he did to her. Funny seeing Martha again didn’t expect that and also didn’t expect the teacher to be sleeping with her former enemy lol. Stolas’s va sounds great with these past few songs like seriously wow.
Yeah right? Everyone keeps saying, "i dont hate Verosika anymore or think she's bad," but i never hated her or thought she was bad, she never was bad? She was always just his ex. Hell, even fizz was just his ex friend. Neither were bad, and we were always led to believe it was Blitz fault that both of them had beef, especially during the Ozzie episode.
Guess im just suprised people expected less especially after the fizz arc.

@@manyharmons4308 There's a lot of struggle between understanding when a character is the protagonist's enemy/someone they don't like, and understanding when a character is meant to be a bad guy. Verosika is way less bad of a person than Blitzo, but she's someone he doesn't like. But a lot of people took that latter information and completely ignored the former, painting her to be awful even though between them, she's his victim.
Have you forgotten the multiple times Blitz has insutled people on the show? How many of those insults are about them being fat or sluts or how they look like (like goat, fish etc.) Stolas 100% doesnt understand how those comments have affectes Blitz, but Blitz knows how hurtful his comments are and he still uses them, he does it on purpose and that's waay worse
Martha and Ms Mayberry going from enemies to possible lovers was an awesome callback from the very first episode!
Also poor Stolas! He sacrificed everything for someone who can't express his feelings! 💔
Verosika actually trying to help Blitzø see the error of his ways is sweet. The moment with her really emphasises that she doesn't just want to hate Blitzø to hate him. Sure he's awful, but she's able to finally open his eyes so he can understand it, and why he should.
Hopefully this will be his final wake up call.

Regardless of what Blitz went through back then, he's still a grown man, responsible for his own actions and behaviors. He needs to learn to act like it and own up to his mistakes and bad decisions. I'm glad he actually learned something at the end
yeah... like this is the dude whose soon to be ex-wife has been constantly yelling at him too, so it's probably something he's extra sensitive of. If Blitz had calmly gone "hey this is a lot, give me a minute to process" and Stolas responded the way he did it would be one thing, but Blitz was actively berating him. I have kicked him out too regardless of his reasons.
I love how Verosika realizes that Blitzø absolutely belongs at the "I Hate Blitzø" party.

Okay, so next episode is "Ghostfuckers," and we know Blitz is dealing with his trauma in that one. Which means we should be getting a real apology in either "Mastermind" or "Sinsmas." They probably won't get back together right away, but I'm predicting that "Mastermind" will be the Goetia episode, and we should get the apology there, not through words, perhaps, but through actions.

When Verosika kind of helped blitz in a way when he was feeling upset about stolas dancing with someone else and the way she wanted to see him as someone who wants to change while at the same time giving him space to even though she hates him is a kind gesture for Verosika to do ☺️

I like how Blitz finally apologizing to Verosica doesn't immediately make them friends, but they part with an amicable understanding. This was a small step in the right direction for Blitz, but a step nonetheless.

Verosika was so amazing this episode. I love how she gives him despite everything even a comfort cake. 🎂 She knows she messed up too but still cares for the other people who got really hurt by Blitz. And her friendship with Stolas was not something that I expected to need. Like her kissing him and he blushing. So cute 💖
On the bright side, it's nice to see Martha and the teacher, Ms. Mayday patched things up and became an item. 😂

I can relate to Stolas in this episode. I had an ex that I recently broke up with cuz I finally stopped being obsessed with her. It really hurts to give everything you have into someone just for them to give less than only 20% of themself. I realized that how I was being treated wasn't ok, I deserved better. I deserved someone who would love me as much as I love them, and not just 20%. I've recently been talking to this girl and she's been the partner that I've always wanted, but I find that bc of my ex (the one I was talking about) I can't put my heart into this new girl cuz I'm afraid that I'll get hurt again 😭
I have a feeling that one of two things will happen: either Stolis will end up in a relationship with this rebound guy, but the dude is going to be killed by Striker, or the rebound dude is only going to be a one-night stand for Stolis, but due to the bounty being over Stolis' head, it will bring him and Blitz back together. By that point, I hope that Blitz has had enough time to get his act together. I hope that he and Stolis can eventually have a healthy, happy relationship in the end.

OMG! I dont know if anyone will see this but this is something cool you might not have noticed. You know how blitz says he wants to earn the gem? Well he did. Sort of. In eps 6 s2 where fizz and blitz make up their friendship again, at the end of the eps when fizzy is getting his arm replaced, fizz says that blitz can have the crystal because he 'earned' it. IDK IF ANYONE HAS MADE THIS CONNECTION BUT OMG I JUST FIGURED THIS OUT :0
I'm not sure everyone at that party are Blitzø's exes. Some of them may be +1s. I know Tex doesn't have strong feelings for him but likely came because he works for Verosika. This is a safe place for people he's hurt but at a certain point it has also become a social event.
one thing i noticed is that the cake slice Verosica gave him was a literal heart which i think was just a visual representation of the expression "eat your heart out" blitzø, which literally means to "suffer from excessive longing for someone or something unattainable" and emphasize feelings of jealousy and regret which makes PERFECT sense :((( WAHHHHHH😭😭😭😭
This episode BROKE ME. In a lot of ways. It gave me a painful reminder of just how lonely and hopeless I feel sometimes… and how much my bouts of self-loathing can make me feel like I’m just gonna die alone. 😞
Yeah this might be my favorite episode. The fight in the beginning was pretty real feeling at times, and you can understand why Stolas gets a little more bitter about what happened. And I know some people wanted Stolas to aknowledge how he messed up but Blitz isn't ready yet. He needs to understand his own toxicity and mistakes before he can take in any more connection. They needed to end for them to get back together and this episode was a fantastic first step
Unpopular opinion: I feel like this episodes better than full moon
full moon was kinda always on the losing position bc it HAD TO end with Blitz and Stolas having that fight and separating. But they had to fill in the middle part somehow. So all the good emotional relationship/character meat was bound to be in other episodes.

It's interesting cuz when we first meet her i think that she tells us exactly how blitzø reacted to her saying shat she loves him. It's played as a joke then but apparently he ditcher her at a hotel, stole her car and credit card drove down to wrath and then maxed her card out on horse riding lessons. I could be wrong, but she sounded really bitter about that...
Martha and Mayberry being together caught me so off guard that my lesbian little brain stopped working the rest of the episode

I appreciate all the extra details this episode, specifically the costumes other demons were wearing at the party. Yeah ya got your classic generic Halloween stuff, but I liked actually recognizing some specifically. There's Kill Bill, Freddy Krueger, Beetlejuice, and a couple dressed as Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy from the animated series. Probably others I missed I'm sure. Makes the Halloween party feel more legit to me. A great episode!
