I have been a very good girl because two new videos dropped today, Thanks Alex and Gail. I’m going to save them for my quiet time this evening. I have some new lychee tea to try and now friends to visit with. Looking forward to spending some time with you both later.
Alex, have I ever told you how seriously talented you are. I think I have a number of times. But you have done it again. Beautiful work, young lady, simply marvelous. Tee
You ladies have to collab again, maybe in summer, with Manchester Mudlarks and have them take you to her new found- bead mountain! And I love the work into making the tiny locks. Sooo cute! Creative!
Those minature locks are absolutely glorious! You managed to imbue them with all the texture, contrast and weight of the original finds, I'm blown away by the detail and realism, the craftmanship, they're just darling! I've seen hundred of lock charms in my day, it's a really common type of charm, but never anything like these! Alex, you're SO talented! I was thinking, if you bring home a brick every now and then when you find one with interesting marks, wouldn't it be nice to put down a little mudroom floor, or build steps to the outside, or a small fireplace using them the reverse way around with those makers names visible? I love it when people use old reclaimed materials for building projects, it was common practise back in the day when so much labour was poured into making them, so sometimes demolitions of 150 yo houses will reveal bricks twice that age or more! Sadly so much is just chucked away now. I used to have a potters workshop, and would have made a big pot to fit that massive handle! I suppose you could repurpose it for a recepticle of just about any material, like Gail I'm fond of juxtapositions of textures, ( imagine a very large reed or pine needle basket for firewood, or make a scrap wire fruit basket/hammock and hang it from the kitchen ceiling for your fruit and veg! I'm sure you can find some use for it, it's a grand piece. I think a massive kettle like that must have held hot water for things like baths, washing up, cleaning etc. A very important piece at the hearth. Thanks for sharing girls! ❤🙏
“Oh, it’s a bit crusty around the edges… but aren’t we all.?” Alex the Zen Philosopher returns. I’m sitting doing intricate freehand embroidery and then you say you are going to show making a piece of jewellery. What a treat. I LOVE these. You and Gail do excellent videos on making & crafting. Thank you 😊😊😊
You are sooooo talented!! Beautiful job on the stunning locks!! I always learn something new from your videos!! Thanks ladies!! The Towers Brick was perfect for you two!! Two of my favorite you tube videos!! Northern Mudlarks & the Lost Tower Diaries!! Watch them both multiple times!!
You should be so proud of these wee locks, Alex. So creative! Seeing the ‘reveal’ of the mini locks at the end was awesome. Also love the music you choose for your videos. Keep up the good work! She has amazing stone wall construction skills. ❤🇨🇦

I buried Mom 2 yrs ago after a very lengthy (3 yrs and 10 months) illness. My husband kept track of the time. Y'all videos helped me so much. I'm 70 so I can't search but now I have a house full of stuff. Just wanted to tell y'all thank you. You never know what effect you can make in someone's life. From Louisiana
Hello ChristlsKingAm we our Neighbors🤗. I have lived most of my life right across Indian Rocks Bridge. The beaches Used to Be My Playground when I was growing up 🏖. I hope you didn't get too much damage from the Hurricanes that we had. Take care.
The locks are little works of art. The cow chain and byre, took me back to my childhood, our byre was the same as yours. The cows lived in the byre all winter, they could stand and lay down, which in hindsight seems mean now not been able to walk about. The byre is now my home.
Alex, your tiny locks are so perfect, a lot of work and steady hands to complete the process. Some nice treasures too ! Always look forward to seeing you both. Stay well, love and hugs 🥰🥰 xx
