Webinar on Women in STEM (March 1, 2023)

A webinar titled "Women in STEM - An International Comparison on Current Challenges and Opportunities" took place on Wednesday March 1, 2023, in recognition of International Women's Day.
Guided by moderator Ms. Yumiko Murakami from MPower Partners, this online event invited high-profile international experts in STEM such as Dr. Nergis Mavalvala from MIT, Dr. Rie Kijima from University of Toronto, and Ms. Debora Comini from UNICEF Regional Office for East Asia and the Pacific. They discussed probable causes of low participation of women in STEM (both in education and in the labor market), as well as shared their knowledge on current initiatives, and proposed initial recommendations to address these challenges.
