    Really great video (all of it), and thank you for showcasing some of our trails "here" (even if they're 58 minutes from my house to get to them, it's worth the drive).
    Alafia rocks, I'm glad you guys were able to enjoy it some, stay safe.

      The one I did later in the vid was just a steep... Took me a few run ips to get it. I would go for it now. 😄

      Funny you say that... We are thinking Tucson AZ next winter.

    • @mikesathome
      @mikesathome 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BigVanLittleAdventures Hit me up if you want some suggestions for Tucson.. I've ridden there about a dozen times over the last few years (my job sends me there 1 - 3 times a year) so I've gotten familiar with the area. Check my channel for some recent vids

    • @BigVanLittleAdventures
      @BigVanLittleAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mikesathome Nice! Would you say Jan Feb are okay times to head there? Looks like you can run into some snow but the temps seem decent.

    • @mikesathome
      @mikesathome 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BigVanLittleAdventures Yes, Jan & Feb are good times to avoid the heat, you might only get snow on Mt Lemmon, most of the valley will never see snow.. March / April are nice as well as the desert is in spring bloom. Tucson on average is less hot than Phoenix due to being a little higher in elevation so even May can be bearable in Tucson.

      @@mikesathome Thanks for the info. we tend to get our itch in jan or feb to ditch the cold haha

    Sweet video. From what i understand, Alafia proves you can do a lot with minimal elevation. A ton of innovation and hard work tho. Maybe well see places like this in Michigan one day.

    • @BigVanLittleAdventures
      @BigVanLittleAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not to put down our trail builders and all the work they put in... But yes it made me sad how tame everything is here. Everything in that area was so good. More videos to come.

    That place looks Awesome!! How much $ was it to ship your bikes?

    • @BigVanLittleAdventures
      @BigVanLittleAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Every airline is different but we paid a total of 300 round trip for 2 bikea.
      I did a lot of back and forth on it because the bags arent cheap. Renting for 3 or 4 days would end up being more money though.

    How much was it to fly the bikes to Tampa?

    • @BigVanLittleAdventures
      @BigVanLittleAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Every airline is different... We went with spirit which was $75 each way. That is their flat rate for a bike. I know there is a weight limit but we made it with bikes and gear.

    • @rehabsinger
      @rehabsinger 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BigVanLittleAdventures Very reasonable cost. Thanks.

    • @BigVanLittleAdventures
      @BigVanLittleAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rehabsinger yeah you have to weigh your options. If you're doing one day of riding it might be better to rent. In our case we rode for a few days so it was worth it.
