In this video I restore an antique monkey wrench. I’m really satisfied with the result. And would like to hear your comment below. Don’t forget to watch my video of the Italian forgotten hand saw: th-cam.com/video/ConG_UIRs_g/w-d-xo.html
Been subscribed for about a year now, was waiting on new videos and haven't seen any, so just came back to watch old ones i hadn't seen before. Never a disappointment in these videos!
You are a wonderful and creative person. You are the first in the world. I wish continued success and I hope that God protects you wherever you are, my dear friend.
12 videos and 185k subscribers, that speaks volumes! I just wish one of them had been building your workbench! It looks fantastic for limited space! Another fantastic restoration, and another great video. Thank you.
You are incredibly talented and watching your restorations is mesmerizing. The weather and animal sound effects are very cool and add entertainment value to your videos. Thanks and keep up the good work!! Lori Wallace
I rarely see your hands during your restorations because of the gloves you wear. However, I noticed that you have some not unexpected sores from your metal and woodworking. There is a product called NuSkin which is like a super glue that you can use on those sores to protect them and help them to heal quicker. It stays on the skin and is waterproof. Word of caution, it burns like hell when you first apply it. Waiting impatiently for new videos. Lori Wallace
Hey don’t take this the wrong way I love watching your videos and I learned a great deal from them can you please not speed them up all the time I like watching the different steps rather than skipping through your procedures. Your videos are awesome thank you for all the time you take to make it all work!
I admit I am fascinated by the unique containers you use (pitchers, glasses, bottles,etc.). I have come to the theory that either you were an alchemist who raided the cupboard or a mad scientist with a hobby of going to thrift shops. None the less, your work always makes me think you’ve done magic to turn very rough items into looking like new.
thanks so much Nancy for your big support - so appreciated. I can honestly say that I am neither alchemist nor a mad scientist 😉😉 just a simple guy who enjoys fixing old stuff
All his tools, including the various vessels he uses, are cool. He's not only a master craftsman but creates videos with an aesthetic flare. I also like the sound affects although I know some people don't as they appreciate when the videos are more ASMR.
I love watching these videos of you restoring old tools. What do you call a "monkey wrench" we call a "plumber's wrench or pipe wrench" here in Australia. Again nice job on restoring this old tool, well done. Love from Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺❤❤
I absolutely love watching these videos and I think you do a great job!! The only thing I would say is I think the things you restore would look 100x better if you made a cut out for the handles to fit in snug. Keep up the good work, looking forward to the future videos my friend.
I see that workstation kept that tight at 1:39, and I expect nothing less than a good looking piece coming out of this. I love these old wrenches. #throwawaythethrowawayculture
Hey Marty, just watched all your videos and subscribed. I also enjoy restoring things and bringing them back to life, mainly pocket knives. Keep up the great work and videos 👍
This style of wrench is popularly known as an Autowrench. Ford included one with every Model T and other cars of the period. Most popular autowrenches have Ford stamped on them.
Nicely done, sir. It is interesting that after all the work you did on the head, that you blacked out the foot. Maybe it's just me. Thanks for sharing.
Тоже заметил? Он ещё усиленно комменты чистит... О! Смотрю и канал от старых видосов почистил.. Я ему в последнем видео написал об этом, что он старит сам вещи - удалил коммент.
Have you seen the technique where you heat the metal, then burn through the wood with it, to make the handle fit? I believe My Mechanics has a tutorial about that.
My great grandfather had a couple of those I inherited. Now I know how to proceed to rejuvenate them! Don't know if I'll be able to work a hammer that fast..

Very cool!

Perfect for building Sentries and fixing Armour! But best of all it solves all of your practical problems

Thanks for taking time out of your day to respond. I get it, Michael from Chicago I’ll.
I think you forgot the metal cap for the handle. other than that perfectly done.
You could use that as a clamp or as a wrench. I like that tool alot. Nice restoration.
I love watching your restorations. The humour elements are very amusing. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Dave 😊😉

I like your work but just an FYI. You have to mix those two parts of epoxy completely together first.
I scrolled down just to see this comment.

thanks for info :)
Awesome
thanks a lot :)
Restoration score 10 out of 10 bananas 🤣.
Thanks 😉👍
Only pilot drill the handle, then heat the tang and push it in. No need for epoxy.
Thanks for watching and for sharing your knowledge I really appreciate it 👍
I didn't even see him mix the two part epoxy. I'm curious of how well it set
@@blahblahtotheblah He put the 2 part epoxy into the handle it would have mixed together on its own. The handle will be set well for a long time.
Why didn't you blackened whole wrench? It's really cool looking finish and good protection
Bravo!
Thanks 👍
Thank you , Marty .
Formidável, lindo. 😉👍👏🤝🍀
i clicked like three times
thanks so much :)
You cant just squirt that epoxy in the handle. You need to mix them.
Love these videos!

if you can find one, Id LOVE to see you do a Kriss Kross sharpner*strooper, albeit, I dont believe they are supposed to come apart for servicing....
You’ve earned a subscriber 👍🏻
Thanks for watching and for your SUB👌
Why break the handle off? Looked fine, just looked like it needed a bit of varnish or oil on it
Wood degrades over time, there’s no telling how old the handle was and it could’ve broke at any time.
Niceeee 👌
Thank you! Cheers!

Nice!!! But you left the endcap off the handle - Nickle plated would've made it stand out...
All in the eye of the beholder. Damn nice

I found two of these at a flea market in North Carolina. It has a metal handle
Have you seen the technique where you heat the metal, then burn through the wood with it, to make the handle fit? I believe My Mechanics has a tutorial about that.
yes :)
@@AwesomeRestorations I would think that you would enjoy another excuse to light things on fire. 😆
How do you find these things? Do you like come across them randomly?
Great, but if I had opened and used the hammer it would have been better💯👍
MUITO BOM PARABÉNS.! !👍👏👏👏
Gracias amigo :)
Looks great!
What did you do to blacken the jaw? What was the liquid you used?
Awesome! How old was it?
Muito bom. Só faltou desbastar a ponta interna do cabo de madeira.
Do people still use these? As ive seen probably only one in my life, and that was in a display case on my school.
😲
A set of wrenches hanging on his bench and he uses an adjustable wrench. This hurts me.
An adjustable wrench is literally always the best tool for the job with wrenchs unless for some reason it physically doesn't fit.
@@williameldridge9382 you couldn't be further from the truth 🤦♂️
Some of these you do are good, others like this one are crappy.
Nice result. What was the pickling solution that you mixed up in the pitcher?
Thanks for watching Ron - Its was Eco-friendly soap in different colors 😂👍
Hi Ron and Awesone, I was wondering that too. Thanks for asking Ron, and Awesome your simple answer. Cheers Russell
I reminds me of engineers wrench from team fortress 2

Good luck Brian. Hope they come out just as good.
Why is everyone frustrated that he took the handle off? It was completely rusted under there and needed to be cleaned
