Brand New CNG Autocar Rapid Rail

  • One of like, four new units for Tempe, seen on its first or second week of service. Big thanks to Ernie behind the wheel, driving this while his truck was down. Still working out some of the bugs. The packer still really doesn't fair well with 300s, I guess due to how the containers are gripped, how they're dumped, and that the paddle is usually in the way when dumping stuff. The inability to extend the arm up while in the hopper (since the arm is on a track, the whole track moves out, instead of up like curbtenders and scorpions) is also a problem. I really don't like the CNG tanks either, they're totally boxy whereas the other CNG trucks have tanks that are smoothed on the front to avoid catching power lines.

    3:43 you know you need DP rapid rails when that happens.

      Well really most everything has a clean out area naw that scorpion is gone probably should have bought Amrep or Curbtender

    Nice but definitely has some problems Heil needs to make a CNG tailgate for the Rapid Rails as that box on top is definitely going to pose a problem also agree with Arizona Disposal they really need a DuraPack RR not a CP but nice to see it is on a Autocar though

    300s need the scorpion or a pendulum packer where the hopper is nice a open

    Good video. I like the auto car cab but the rapid rail is a pos! It’s another example of why scorpions are superior. That truck was struggling packin on those 300’s, a scorpion would of ate it up.

    Looks like the 300 grippers don't work on the 300s or the fat Ottos
