After you mentioned that in this game you need to place farms on grass, it suddenly hit me that the newer Stronghold games actually did dumb down the games a bit. I saw many examples of that but somehow I forgot about the farm placement on grass requirement which, in my opinion, is a good attention to detail and helps with immersion a bit :)
Yeah spot on, I have not played the newer Stronghold's yet but I have heard that they dumbed down the mechanics even more there. The realism shown in Crusader is very cool. And, in my opinion, that with a mix of fantasy like in Stronghold Legends would make for the perfect game!
@@Codicc Tbh, before I tried Legends I was a bit skeptical because fantasy isn't my cup of tea most of the time but after playing the game I realized how great it is - Steam edition doesn't look that outdated graphically as I remember games from those days, mechnically game runs smooth and different factions brought a much needed uniqueness to the game. :) I haven't tried the new games either but I will - I hope they didn't dumb them down too much :D

This stronghold doesn't have Steam multiplayer support. It used peer to peer, so your IP will be exposed. I'd only play with friends or use gameranger
