All those hours of pilot training, gaining intense knowledge of load balancing and capacity and their effect on range and speed. Then finally when it looks like all your years of hard work and studies have paid off.' Transport? Nahh, we just need you to zerg over there with the rest of the guys......in fact i'd tell you we're to go but it's probably just easier if you just follow the other guys one of them should know where to go."

imagine being trained to this degree to get shot down immediately and during the whole time, knowing you can't do anything about it

Hello, I am gman. Reposting my comment from reddit:
I’ve played around 2 dozen 10v10 games doing FOB Checks, and only failed twice.
This particular game was a period where I was experimenting with divs outside of the 101st. I wouldn’t recommend using 20mm VADS/towed Chaparral specifically since the former is useless(imo) and the latter gets easily arty to death.
My go to opening right now is 101st with 2 ODA, 1 ODA command, 1 GSR recon, and 12 Supply mules, for a total of 16 Chinooks. You have the points to exchange the GSR for another ODA, but I prefer having some recon over a second command (I max vet my ODA so I only have 2).
The ODA and recon are usually enough for me to contest the forest/city lane I’ve chosen (usually the flank of the map). Keep in mind you will not be able to micro them a while, so give them initial orders that move them to positions where they wont get in combat/die then focus on your helis.
    Some tips:
    - observe the general outline of the enemy deployment area so you know where the enemy FOBs will be, then look at the sides of the map and think about the path you’re gonna take.
    - put your opener in the company group system for one-click deploy
    - turn off auto resale of the chinooks during deployment if you have it enabled
    - drop the supply mules midway between spawn and mid, so the mass of helis doesn’t get the attention of enemy fighters, and your supply mules don’t get artied
    - queue up move orders after unloading to move the side of the map where you’ll be flanking
    - bind the ODA Chinooks (with ECM) to Ctrl+1, and regular Chinooks to Ctrl+2. If you are just spamming regular chinooks, split them into two groups. I do this to make micro easier and have two groups instead of one big group that would suffer more from suppression+missile splash. Ctrl+1 group is usually the sacrificial lamb that is kept ahead and in the direction of danger to soak up damage so Ctrl+2 survives.
    - when giving move orders hold RMB and move you mouse to space your helis/put them in formation. Spacing mitigates damage.
    - as your Chinooks are moving along the side spend your first tick of income to buy 155mm arty, and bind to Ctrl+3.
    - Avoid giving too many move orders/sudden changes in direction, Chinooks have a high top speed but are very ungainly and changes in direction slow them down a lot. Keep them moving straight and true for better survivability.
    - once you reach the spawn area, avoid flying too close to the point where units spawn. I like to fly my chinooks roughly in the middle, sometimes adjusting a bit to cover a patch of trees, a city, or other POI where I think a FOB might be.
    - as FOBs are spotted put markers on them. As your helis are sweeping through the spawn area continuously set more markers on the spotted FOBs to replace decayed ones and avoid “losing” spotted FOBs.
    - Use your 155 arty you bought earlier and binded to Ctrl+3 and set fire orders (shortcut “T”) on every spotted FOB and newly spotted ones, and set it on hold fire (shortcut “Z”). This is a decay-proof way to save the location of the FOBs without constantly marking. After all FOBs are found, use your fire orders to occasionally place markers to show the locations of the FOBs to your teammates/yourself. You set it on hold fire so it doesn’t get counter artied and you lose the locations of the FOBs.
    - win

So one time on urban frontlines my buddies and I were gearing up for an urban slog, some fun infantry gameplay ya know, but then we saw that redfor was had like 4 KDA players, so we said “nah screw that,” I switched over to 101st, another guy did 82nd, and then the others went armored. Instead of using CH47s I went for a committed air attack, bringing a bunch of recon choppers, AH6s and Mh60s, and made a mad dash for their back line just like this. I ended up having a negative KD for it but we wiped out most of their FOBs and lots of their arty, and because the KDAshills had put all their points into arty there was nothing they could do to stop all the tanks and infantry I cleared the way for.
I laid down on the wire so my teammates could walk across me, and we won.
Always remember, if the enemy team puts everything into arty, they don’t have anything to stop a highly mobile and committed assault, oh and fuck the KDA.

The era of MLRS spam is over, all hail the Chinook! This will either make 10v10s more fair or break the game completely. Pact players will at least now be forced to buy SPAA behind their lines now.

Thanks for the video. Still waiting for the classic pearls of wisdom from the skilled players and grand strategists who’ve perfected the insanely complex high-level micro of T+LClicking and Shift+RClicking their grads: "You should disperse and always move your units," "It’s just a skill issue," and, of course, "You shouldn’t play 10v10."

    • @billybully4434

You should disperse and always move your units, so it’s just a skill issue. You shouldn’t play 10v10.

Actually you should disperse and always move your units, idk why this is so hard, warno is a game about maneuvering go back to SD2 if you want trench warfare. I am under no obligation to let you ball up your abrams with no repercussions. Spare me your tears.

@@DeviledEggs21 As someone who's spent almost 1000 hours in 10v10, I can assure you that what you said is just some "correct nonsense". My girlfriend just started playing 10v10, and even with less than 15 hours of game experience in total, she knows it's crucial to move and disperse units, and set up reserves on the second line.
But in 10v10, which is often the case, IT IS USELESS TO DO THIS BECAUSE YOU WILL STILL GET BLOWN UP BY THE CURRENT MRLS SPAM. Especially at some narrow and semi-open points in maps like Three Strikes, Stoneware, and Cyrus, you’re often facing 8+ Grad/RM-70s from 2-4 players firing at the same time where the space to "disperse" isn't much. That's exactly what I experienced yesterday in Three Strikes at the narrow side lane with 5 points, even though I was playing PACT. The 3 NATO players we were facing were all level 30-40, and they did micro their units carefully a lot. But what good did it do? Me, my girlfriend, and another teammate vaporized all their front units in 3-4 artillery salvos at midgame, and we won that game easily. Oh, btw, they did a heli rush and destroyed all of our FOBs, but sadly we won the game in... 22 minutes. Remember this: against absolute firepower, no amount of micro can save you.

Hippie you are spreading dangerous Anti-grad rhetoric that is incorrect and harmful. Grads are only effective because nato players are lazy and refuse to move any vehicle for any reason. If there wasnt large balls of vehicles sitting around doing noting maybe you wouldnt get gradded. This is all just skill issues and an inability to actually engage with the issue. Furthermore m270 cluster spam is way worse from nato and just as obnoxious. But nato players are allowed this and no one complains because they cant micro the side of a barn so ig they can have some easy kills.

Forgive me for I am a KDA smerch spammer. I have run into the helicopter tactic employed by Mr.Gay himself.
The first time I encountered it, I simply drove around until my Migs and OSA clean up his heli rush.
Sure you may lose a Feldport. But you’re just delaying the inevitable Napalm and clusters that will find its way on the heads of NATO’s finest.
I have plenty of supply cards and no shortage of 14 man squads. Plus enjoy my two-three minutes of OSA spam that will now just spread itself across the front line, many a SEAD craft will die before my BUKs are even deployed.
    Sorry not sorry

This is just like real life, Pact in warno already is lacking however still standing and kicking, NATO players are too greedy and evil so they will continue in their stubborness
Instead of facing pact players skill to skill man to man (they already have a advantage) they pussy their way around and take advantage of a disadvantage, this is all pact has btw after this they wont theoretically be able to compete no matter the skill.
