Great question - I actually did not. The tape started to peel off on the highway and then started to slap against the car. It didn’t damage anything, but I was worried about it until I could pull over and pull the rest off. I think it was my fault though. I should have cleaned the rim better and taken more care to apply the tape. Ultimately, painting the rim would be ideal, but that’s more work than I’m willing to commit. I could also try better than whatever value brand electrical tape that I had. Lots of things that you could experiment with. Doing it all over, I would take a lot of care to apply the tape properly and ensure a good fit. That’s no denying that it looks better all black, without the silver outline.
