Beautiful landing at YUL. I traveled on air carriers that had interiors in worse conditions. But I'm a simple traveler. Get me (and my family) safely from point A to point B. TUN airport was a trip down memory lane. We flew to TUN from MRS on AF in 2019. After two weeks in Tunisia, we took the ferry to Porto Empedocle, Sicily. I'm looking forward to your next video. Safe travels! [Note: My mother was native French, born and raised in Marseille. Because of the city's proximity to north Africa, we were fortunate to visit the north African countries (Mauritania, Western Sahara, Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Tunisia, and Egypt).
That is truly all that matters, getting to your destination safely. That’s awesome, being able to visit all those places in Northern Africa. I always enjoy my time there, but it’s significantly tougher to get there from the west coast of the US
great video! And yes your were right, it was the captains last flight, i was on the apron frequency the day of his arrival and we did a little speech wishing him a happy retirement

Wishing them continued success on their journey to regain and surpass their former status. Keep up the fantastic work on your channel!
Tunisair is facing many financial difficulties and politicians are only making it worse, its also important to mention it and i feel sorry that its reflecting on the aircraft and service, but good thing is that its the airline with most comptent cabin crew and safest airline All i know is that its doing its best to improve service I feel sorry to read all these comments

A good comprehensive and objective review. Whenever I board an aircraft and the cabin is filthy I always wonder if their maintenance is as equally disturbing 🤔. I have heard that even without a selection of foods, the meals are quite nice. They need to get their act together and offer much newer and cleaner cabins. Take care and have a pleasant and rewarding week.

Awesome video rich with information. I made a comment years ago on Josh Cahills video on this particular plane/flight showcasing my discontent with Tunisair, but it seems that they're really trying their best to make things better. One has to understand the situation that the Republic of Tunisia is going through during the last 10+ years since it started its journey towards democracy and freedom of speech, and Tunisia isn't particularly a resource rich nation to follow on the steps of Air Algérie, so dear Patrick, i don't think you will see a renovation any time soon, unless the economy takes off and Tunisair starts making real profit (the company is indebted and has suffered from bad management). Cheers.
That's all great information. I would love to see them increase their presence in Africa and the Mediterranean, although the growth of Tunisia as a country is definitely more important, so I wish the country and airline the best. Not sure if it's the direction they want to go with the airline, but potentially a private investor could put some money into the airline and allow the government to focus their money on perfecting the country. If done right, it could become a wonderful airline AND a wonderful destination becoming more popular around the world
Thank you so much Patrick Shea. Tunisair should appreciate your reporting with high recognition. Another good trip report Patrick. Tunisair naturally has good sides, but certainly also bad sides. The state of the cabin is absolutely disgraceful. Dirty, filthy, unacceptable. So you will not fly United again, I guess. Cf your comment on flying TU. 😉 I fact, when you have the choice, you can be picky, but on many routes, the prestige/ or big companies abandon their traffic rights to the middle range carriers. For example, Geneva Tunis, no choice, it's Tunisair. At least it's safe, with all the failures.
22:22, Nice, although they sing happy birthday in English. Is that your 1st time that they celebrity someone's birthday on your flight? 25:09, Also, is that your 1st time that on your flight, the captain is retireing, then they will get a water salute. Water salute is fun.
It was the first time I’ve been on a flight where they sang happy birthday (and especially lit a candle…). Not my first retirement flight. I’ve actually been on 3 now!
I’m working on it. I can’t afford it with cash at the moment, but they just brought the A350s to SFO, so if I can get the miles, I’d absolutely give it a shot
Why no mention of alcohol options for those who enjoy a glass of wine with their meals? Tunisair serves alcohol and Tunisia produces an enormous range of excellent wines and beers.
Well it sounded like it was his 65th birthday which is generally retirement age, so it could have been. In addition, there’s a second crew in Montreal to fly the aircraft back just because ICAO rest regulations wouldn’t allow that same crew to work that much
@@PatrickSheaAviation Agreed on that. But there will still be another aircraft that they will have to take back to Tunis anyway after they get some rest in Montreal. Hey, Tunisian here please correct your statement, Tunisia is not arabic nor french country we are amazigh. However, arabic is a language and arab is the ethnicity.
What is even strange about the matter is that a Tunisian citizen cannot travel, is deprived of travel, immigration, and the enjoyment of work contracts abroad. He cannot even obtain immigration visas. They are always rejected, even when they are accepted. I do not know what this is.
Hahaha … Tunisair is (at) gotravelyourway ‘s “most favorite” airline, don’t miss his Tunisair “Special” on his channel. … unfortunately you didn’t disclose what you have paid for the flight, It didn’t look too bad though. Besides that, I liked the review, it’s nothing you can watch every day on YT.
Honestly, I couldn't finish watching the video. Every time you say 'French Arabic' country I feel very offended! Tunisia and Tunisians have never been french - the Arabic history one may argue about - but to call our country French is highly disrespectful considering the colonization history and the struggle our ancestors went through - and frankly till now !! With all my respect to you, and I don't know you nor the content you present, but speaking a language doesn't make you part of the people. I would really appreciate it if you could change that, and maybe you could be more alert next time you present North African countries, it's totally enough to call it a North African country without any further label if the name of the country is not enough for you. I understand that some people can be not so aware and just see this as a small detail but Tunisia is an independent democratic country, that has no subordination to anyone or any other entity.
Okay we have been over this… In no way am I saying that Tunisia is part of France. Just referring to the French influence there… which cannot be denied. Totally chill with y’all doing your own thing. But countries tend to show hints of former partners. We have the same thing in America with Mexican, English, and Irish influence as well. So don’t go trying to say all that

I see maintenance isn't Tunisair's strong point - those seats are dirty as hell. Also... just a comment, your microphone as you speak sounds very echoey, which sounds very lost with the music track. (as if you're talking away from the mic)
Thanks. And yea very dirty, not sure how that affects maintenance. Some companies use outside maintenance too, so it could be hard to find out. There are certain requirements an airline must meet to fly to Canada though, so it’s at least met those
What I always see in my dark country is violence and control by those with great power in the state. Indeed, it is something completely embarrassing. I am 21 years old and I am thinking about immigrating irregularly and crossing the sea to Europe.
Yes although there is still a considerable amount of French language used as well as some French influence that is still seen around the country. That’s more what I menat
First impressions are everything, and this one was filthy. If they’re not even trying to maintain the business class cabin appearance how little do they care for the important things, like maintenance? The stuff you can’t see.

Wow, that cabin needs to be replaced asap...

What is it you’d like? Similar airlines? Airports? Routes?
Hahaha … Tunisair is (at) gotravelyourway ‘s “most favorite” airline, don’t miss his Tunisair “Special” on his channel. … unfortunately you didn’t disclose what you have paid for the flight, It didn’t look too bad though. Besides that, I liked the review, it’s nothing you can watch every day on YT.
This flight, in business class, was $800-something. Cabin needs attention, but other than that, it was totally worth the cost
So don’t go trying to say all that
@@PatrickSheaAviation dude I wrote this before talking with you in the other comment and I understand your point and I told you my point and all good. If this comment is so bothering for you I will delete it. We already talked about this.
This has got to be the dirtiest and most worn looking aircraft I have ever seen, what a pig sty. I would be scared to touch anything. Just awful.

The cabin seemed quite filthy...😅
we all know tunisair is not the best choice for aerial travel but it's safe and as cheap as it can get
This is true. And if they can invest in new aircraft or even just new cabins, they can remain competitive throughout African and the Mediterranean
tired plane urgently needs an upgrade and a refurbishment. Meals though look excellent.
did you pay for this flight or it was last minute upgrade I mean free? because not worth it at all I will never pay for such a bad service!
These flights run for about $600-900 typically in business class. The service was wonderful I will say, it was mostly the cabin that needs some help
@@PatrickSheaAviation well the meal presentation was horrible
ce qui me choque le plus sur les avions Tunis Air c'est le manque de nettoyage (leurs avions sont vraiment sales!) payer le prix d'une business class pour avoir cela, non merci , je préfère aller voir ailleurs
There are certain requirements an airline must meet to fly to Canada though, so it’s at least met those
French africain country ?
Who's here after Josh Cahill criticized Tunisair 3 years ago
Glad to be helping with a Tunisair reunion 🤣🤣
Top chanal please fly with MEA Air ( Lebanon)
I’d love to fly with MEA! Maybe in a video to come soon?!

French arabic country ?! Tunisia was a french colony but it"s over now.
Well there’s still plenty of French influence and language seen around the country. That’s my main point with that
You do not need to put this music
We cannot hear you unfortunately
very strange
i mean the way you take such machine with such company across the atlantic
What I always see in my dark country is violence and control by those with great power in the state. Indeed, it is something completely embarrassing. I am 21 years old and I am thinking about immigrating irregularly and crossing the sea to Europe.
@Patrick Shea, Tunisia is an Arabic North African Country not "a French" Country....
Yes although there is still a considerable amount of French language used as well as some French influence that is still seen around the country. That’s more what I menat
Hang on wait a second. Tell me they didnt light a real candle for that birthday cake????
Lol I couldn’t tell from my point of view, but you’d hope not! Lol 🤣
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
OMG - What a nightmare it is horrific. This is something out of 1977 or so.
Hard to believe it's only about 8 years old...
Moyen classique
First impressions are everything, and this one was filthy. If they’re not even trying to maintain the business class cabin appearance how little do they care for the important things, like maintenance? The stuff you can’t see.
Wow nice video good camera Riyadh Air comes 2025 Lufthansa Becomes New seat Brand New Premium Economy Business class And First class comes Next year 2024 flying Salam Air Phuket to Muscat nice video Tunis In Frankfurt gives VIP Terminal New

Funfact: in tunisia there is only some KFC

Interesting. KFC is everywhere.
While another child in his prime can travel and visit the world, I am confined to the largest prison in the world called Africa.
french arabic country ? please check your facts thank you
Tunisia is not a '''french'' arabic country. it's an arabic country that speaks french.
Yes. But there are definitely some French inspired items around the country. Totally still independent though
There was nothing french to see in the lounge@@PatrickSheaAviation
L kreesi A3mloulhom taghlifa 3and l tapisser ,ma tetkallefch barcha y l tunisair !
What the French arabic country man ?? Tunisia is purely arabic country
Tunisia is mainly African country. Amazigh is it’s ethnicity.
Do a dna test if you don’t believe that fact.
Tunisia has never been a former french colony !!
🤨
0:03 french arabic country??????? Did you really do your homework, or are you just saying what so ever? If we can speak french as a second language and it's not even our official language, does that make us french speakers or french?????a disappointing start of the video
I'll just let you look at the responses below because I'm tired of responding to the same responses. There is no disrespect at all in that statement, yet all y'all losing it over that
Thanks for flying TU so I never have to. 😂 good to hear the food was good but that seat and condition of that plane were enough for me to give this a hard pass.
