It's not just the limitations that have upset people with multiplayer. There's other reasons people don't like it. To try to explain, here's my POV. I've seen others talk about this as well. As someone with no cozy gamer friends and who doesn't like multiplayer games, I feel like I should just stop doing any Dreamsnaps. I'll never have the stuff people will now have. And is there any other way to get pixel shards? Because if not, then people like me won't be able to use the extra perks. :( I really enjoy the rest of the game. This just makes me so disappointed. I know that people have discord and reddit things to exchange goods, but I'm a fairly new player. I won't have anything to help out people back pretty much at all. It makes the game so unfair, in a way it wasn't before. Yes, older players had more stuff, but not to this extent. And there were still plenty of newer players on an even field, which will now be gone. A newer player who is super social and/or already has a bunch of friends playing will now be able to level up way faster than anyone else and have killer Dreamsnaps that get a ton of moonstones.
Multiplayer doesn't give any advantages and the pixel shards and 2 new items you can craft with it are not very useful. I can't say for other discord but in my discord most if not all have been giving trades for free. Consider joining and make some friends :)
I can only speak for myself, but I love helping out newer players. I started a few months ago, so missed out on early star paths. But I’ve been playing long enough that I’m starting to have a good stock of resources. I sell stuff after a certain point right now so I don’t just have a million chests, but I think I’m going to start just offering the extras for newer players who need them, instead. You only make a tiny bit by selling most resources, so it’s not really a loss to give it away, unless you’re incredibly early in the game, when every penny counts. Also, my village is a mess. Far from the beautiful stuff we see on TH-cam. 🤣 I’m still working on it and enjoying the process. I never do well on dream snaps, so I rely on collecting blue chests each day, voting, and getting the 300 minimum for entering a photo. It’s enough to buy star paths and pick up occasional items in the shop, but certainly not every single one.

Multiplayer should be about people wanting to socialise but those who don’t shouldn’t miss out on things bc they don’t like too. I love hearing a positive response to the multiplayer! It has so much potential and it seems like the developers are taking a careful approach to reduce the possibilities for players to rip each other off. (I'm not one of those, but anyone who's played multiplayer on ACNH knows the struggle.) I can't wait to see what improvements they make going forward!

Yeah, the new Gateway hub where Eternity Isle connects is a good indication that we'll be getting new content for a couple more years at least. (Assuming we'll be getting 2 expansion passes each year).

in multiplayer. has anyone tried going into someones house and trying to wear their TOM outfits on any mannequins? and if so, can you then wear that back to your own valley and edit a mannequin so you now too have that outfit?

You can see that this is just a jumping off point but they should have explained that this is what it is for now. I think many people are upset because in other games, multiplayer ia much more advamced and to be fair, that's what many were expecting it to be. So GL tried MP in DMK game as well as some of the features and pay wall like we are now seeing here . I just hope the Devs don’t desert the players like they did on DMK I had so much money invested in that game only to lose items and later be told I never bought or had them even though I sent picture proof I finally up and quit
Help every time I try for the last three times today I tried to leave the spawn Aria my system does not want me to play it lost on what to do this weird.
I'm sure with updates Multi Verse will get better...it takes time to fix bugs. They are just starting these new changes and like The Sims it's gonna be buggy. Excited with more expansions to come and hopefully new clothes and hair and shoes and better emotes.

@@Serroh its been in early access for over a year, in development for longer, and they lied about the game being free to play just to deliver an unfinished multiplayer mode 😭 The fact you can't even sit down in multiplayer is absolutely crazy.

You can also make a second profile so you can double your shops. I did and it’s fabulous
Apparently they wanted to push the online back a year but were forced to put it out
