UK fan here. I truly wish Cal and the Hogs the best. Except when playing UK. Mark it down, Arkansas will be and are good. Cal delivers everywhere he's coached. 😊
Nelly isn't fully on track yet, but his effort on that last second play literally saves the Hogs from an overtime; Brazile misses free throws then goes down and blocks the shot...just absolutely love the effort...this TEAM fights til the end. GO HOGS!
This college basketball season has been like The Big Dan e from the very get-go! I’ve loved every night (and a few days) of it!!! I’m so excited for my Hogs, and last night’s win. Ou defensive play was STRONG! Having Aidoo back really helped stiffen up the Arkansas defense. Guard play was good. Team rebounding was good. A solid win for Arkansas. Imagine this team when they are all healthy, well and play better! WPS!!! At the same time, I am DAMN impressed with Michigan…their team, and especially their big men. Wow, I am going to keep a side eye on the Big Ten and see how the Wolverines do in league play. Michigan v. Oklahoma coming up? That one is going to be a hum-dinger!
But with so few players will we even be able to put five guys out there by the end of the season. Its normal to lose a player or two, or three. Where are we if we lose any two players to injury at tournament time?
Thanks Aaron. Getting a lot of hate over the hogs, and tonight we saw a relatively healthy Razorback team. JA looked much better, and TB was great (except at the freethrow line). if ND can find some confidence, and DJW continues to play they way he did last night....we'll be a scary team for anyone in the country.
East Appalachia State can't wait for the first round of the tournament if Arkansas makes it. Michigan is not a good team. Not bad, but to act like this is some huge win is ridiculous. I cannot see Arkansas getting through league play with a .500 record. And we know about Cal and the NCAA tournie. No one worse when it matters the most. This Arkansas team is basically two players and a bunch of others who might show up some nights and might not. Not a good formula for consistent winning. And yeah, they are right around 40 in kenpom.
Really… i guess those missed FT by Brazile was all Michigan and his defensive block was also all Michigan. Just admit defeat and give credit where it’s due. Michigan’s bigs are excellent but they didnt have enough to beat the better team that night. Ultimately Michigan maybe the better team in the end but that night Arkansas was better. So the excuses is null and void.
Wagner can't do that every game, very inconsistent. He'll shoot like that from 3 one game & can't hit the ocean with a semi the next. He's kind of like Calipari, just when he gets you pumped up, he soon lets you down. Arkansas to me looks like they hang their hat on defense to create offense, you cannot count on that every game. Yes they scored last night but Calipari doesn't put enough emphasis on scoring. He recruits 5* kids & could care less whether they can shoot or not as long as they can play defense. I'd rather have a coach that recruits the 5* guys that can shoot & then teach them team defense. You have to score to win. Calipari hardly ever runs actual sets to get his best shooters shots.
The SEC is going to be a gauntlet be prepared and know that you are going to lose some games. 500 or a couple of games below 500 in conference will still get you in the tournament though Arkansas will be lucky to finish in the middle of the pack.

AR is getting closer. Three weeks of rest and practice with only three games will help them to get ready for the SEC schedule.
