- On this channel, we discuss the wrongens in the world of wrestling but we’re usually discussing wrestlers or wrestling personalities, people who are directly involved in wrestling. But an area of wrestling we haven’t discussed is the consumers of wrestling, the fans who keep the industry afloat. Because let me tell you, the wrestling fandom might be the most degenerate fandom of all time, maybe other than Sonic. Hidden within these wrestling fans are viewers who are more than obsessed with wrestling and wrestlers, to the point they become stalkers, some, online, a select few though take it one step further and do it in real life, there have been numerous cases of stalking in wrestling but today we’re going to be discussing one case, one that has gone on for many years and even inspired a character that has debuted in WWE recently.

Interesting. You never or rarely see stalker stories where a person stalks a whole company full of people.

I'd bet some reality shows suffer this type of harassment. People invest in that stuff just as heavy.

Reading through that letter and seeing his actions, it's evident he needs help and is unfortunately not receiving any from those capable of giving it to him. Sadly it means he likely will continue to be a nuisance to the wrestlers down at the PC as he seems to have easy access to it.
I've heard of the AJ Lee incident but geez if he wanted a job in WWE he could've just asked. Hopefully nobody else does anything like this and hopefully the obsession with wrestlers is ONLY ON SOCIAL MEDIA and doesn't cause chaos like the dude caused

Actually, social media has been used to stalk and ruin lives; it was used so one guy could find Sonya Deville and attack her and tried to kidnap her, thankfully Mandy Rose and Otis and Dolph Ziggler and her girlfriend were there to help her. Hana Kimura was cyber bullied to a point she aired her suicide live with note that said, "All I wanted to do was entertain you and bring beauty to the world and you punish me and my family for it." Keep in mind people were so mad she became a wrestler after leaving a reality show they stalked and attack her and her whole family. It got attention from the Japanese government, and they made a law where you cannot be anonymous online there and most always how who you are as she was not even 24 and had a long life she could've lived. Alexa Bliss and Paige/Saraya Knight both had to file restraining orders against online stalkers, and one threatened to kill them.

Considering it involves obsessions with people that actually exist, I'd agree.
It always sucks hearing pro wrestlers being harassed by fans , they already do enough for us and then fans proceed to act like they're entitled for even more stuff from them or act like the wrestlers commited some kind of war crime for not doing something for them.

That dude definitely needs help, and we've seen how these stalkers can get when they have a certain perception in their warped minds. Like with the Sonya Deville instance where the guy seemingly gad violent intentions against her. This type of behavior should be stopped before god forbid it get out of hand and something happens to someone innocent.

Any time I've met a wrestler or any celebrity and they agree to a picture, I've always kept a distance and made no physical contact unless they do. Case in point, when I was about 12 or so, RAW was filming in my city. We were getting lunch and saw Trish Stratus. She was my favourite at the time and I pointed her out to my mom and my mom said she'd ask if we could get a picture, but if not, we would respect her space. She agreed and we stood next to her but she ended up crouching down and putting her arm around each of us (my sibling and myself). I just assumed that was the norm growing up until I saw weirdos actually hugging the wrestlers. Please stop.
Oh dude that picture of that guy, with his arms around Becky Lynch gives me the creeps. You can see how uncomfortable she was. I guess personal space doesn’t exist to some people.

Whenever I've taken selfies with indie talents, I always ask first, and stand with them for the pic but don't touch them unless I'm shaking their hand after. Most of them are taken with the wrestler or wrestlers behind their merch tables & me in front. The only pic I have with a wrestler that looks like they have their hand/arm on me is one I took with Ichiban where it kinda looks like his hand/arm is on or behind my shoulders, but that's about it, though I do have one with Billie Starkz where her head is literally just above my left shoulder.

okay, i know wwe don't want to give the wrestlers health insurance, but if they don't invest in some kind of secret security for these people and they keep making them pay and drive and fly places without any supervision, we are going to have a horror story on our hands and everyone is going to be really sad and upset but it could have been prevented if wwe cared about their employees long term health.
You do know that WWE is known to pay for medical fees, rehab and therapy right? They can't give everyone some protection during travel, that's literally impossible but they do pay gor health fees.
