If you want more songs from Septicflesh you can check : Portrait of an headless man, Prometheus (full version, not the video one), Desert throne. Even if i love them live, i find them more impactfull on album. Thx for the great reaction
I was going to change username 'Nobody Recommended This' for the craic and to prove I recommended 'Septicflesh' 🤣 many of Septicflesh songs take inspiration from English writer Algernon Blackwood and mythology with mysticism, fantasy fiction. Septicflesh has a connection to the previous band 'Rotting Christ' with the vocalist sharing vocal duties on the album DV8. Septicflesh have a number of songs about gods and demons lol manifesting through technology, especially on Revolution DNA and Titan. They'll have at least one song per album portraying christ and his followers in general. "The Vampire of Nazareth", "Babel's Gate", "Red Code Cult". Septicflesh often write the lyrics in the style of Renaissance poetry. They've gotten much better balancing allegory and directness in the lyrics over time, though, and some of the recent lyrics can be pretty darn direct - compare the abstract "Smiling Marble Face" to "Enemy of Truth". Septicflesh earlier material is that with noticeable shades of gothic metal, they've also incorporated elements of industrial, melodic death metal, black, post-metal, and many other genres in the material. Each has its own distinct motifs and concepts, the sound of Septicflesh albums from Communion onward have generally had very few deviations from each other. Even Modern Primitive, which followed the longest gap between albums since Septicflesh reunited, was cited by even those who enjoyed it as more of the same. 🇬🇧
