These are professional powwow dancers! There is actually a circuit that our people go on called the Powwow Trail and these people are veterans of it. They compete for thousands of dollars, hence their “Regalia” is what they call their gear and you can find a competitive powwow in the United States every weekend in the summer, they are really a big deal and we have celebrities within the world and these 2 are the epitome of it, Acosia Red Elk ,a Jingle Dress dancer is in this video and she is a queen in the powwow world, heck she is a queen anyway, thank you for this!
Isnt he friggin amazing ? ! I totally love how he starts off his songs so beautifully w/doing his samples right there in front of you on the spot. He is so perfect and beyond impressive. His sound is unique (to the rap genre) his addition of traditional instruments & culture is so beautiful as well are the words he puts to his music. This artist is one who is needed he is representing his people in such a way of both pride and honor. He has great talent and a great heart his music brings both messages of purpose an of peace. I love him & I love this that he does.

Powwows range from little local gatherings in a park or a school function room to huge multiday events with dancers and attendees traveling long distances to get there. There's typically a mix of exhibition dancing, social dancing that anyone is free to join, and competition dancing in various categories. (Small community powwows may focus primarily on the community aspect and skip the competitions altogether or just have a few competition dances for donated prizes, while the big pro circuit events have lots of prize money at stake for the top dancers.)
