This amplifier uses four 6SN7 octal driver tubes. If not unique (this is a point worth researching), the 6SN7 is rarely seen in current production integrated amps. The tone and body of the 6SN7 sound is connoisseur material, especially using the best NOS tubes. Hot stuff!
how does the valve addition effect the music when its on the output of an already finished track via cd or whatever. Is it supposed make already processed and studio mixed music sound different? I thought the point of using valves was during the processing part of raw instrument signal
I have one and love the sound but as all tubes do, especially this size produce heat. It would be interesting to see on how much your electric bill goes up using this thing..
But the sound, oh, the sound of this thing it is most incredible tube, integrated amp I’ve ever heard and dead quiet. More quiet than a lot of A/B Int. I have had. Definitely warms my room up by about 5 to 10 degrees.
I expect to see review for vk-56SE Tube Power Amplifier next time!!

I'd buy one if I could get it for $8000. That's the original price when it first came out not long ago. 10 grand is just getting too expensive for me.
