I would adore a Neptune set. I like the furniture designs, except for how much pink is in everything. I dislike the color pink, plus blue and gold would go much better with my overall island design. We also could get a beautiful sapphire sea crown with the Neptune theme!
I'd like some dark purple items to match the other shell stuff purples, and maybe some white and light blue, and some neutrals
Mermaid house furishing tip: The mermaid DIY's also look good with these wallpapers, and floorings: Underwater wall, underwater flooring, water flooring, Sandy beach flooring, and Starry sands flooring.
I'm the person who wants all items in a theme in a room but I've learned that you don't have to do that.

I have an idea for my whole house. Upstairs is a beach, main floor will be underwater, basement will be mermaid cove, so it's like you're going deeper into the ocean

@ᴡɪᴄᴋᴇᴅ_sᴛᴜᴅɪᴏᴢ I personally went with this idea, and for the other 2 rooms I used the 2 Ship flooring/wallpapers, and the Pirate set from Gullivarr along with some of his regular items (like the Easter island head). I figured I'd make one a pirate ship and the other a merchant vessel. Hope this helps.

I feel like they actually were rushing to get the deadline of diving and all out there, but barely considered the customization at the moment. So I'm hoping when Wave #2 comes, that they'll fix that up with their next addition...
I just hope nintendo isn't trying to rush their work though, I would definitely be glad to wait as long as possible to get the updates "perfected" and on time.

I guess the default mermaid colors are purple pink and blue. But mermaids do have other colors and they definitely could've customization a thing but decided to stick with traditional colors. Though, I don't mind the colors, they definitely scream 'Mermaid' at me.

A bit disappointed about the customization options, some earthy tones would have been super nice. I love this set as an animal crossing player since the beginning when it was introduced a few games back especially in New leaf. And even though they did have a couple of new improvements on the set like the illuminated walls and the animated bubbles. I would have liked to have seen some customizing options for it too. If not to all of the set but some. At least to mix and match with the sea shell set for more variety in furniture ideas. I mean I do understand that there are and have been lots of staple sets in the series that are just iconic and for some, they should not be messed with but once they introduced the customization mechanic into the game, the gloves should of came off. All free reign to paint what ever furniture you wanted should have been on the table. A Neptune/Poseidon theme would be awesome to go hand in hand with the mermaid set like some have said or like others said a pirate one since ship decking is a flooring. But if so I would have to agree you can't have the ability to customize stuff in a game and then not be able to customize it. It defeats the purpose of the mechanic all together. I would have liked to see other options to mix and match with those sea shell furniture but hey maybe in the next update we can only hope or keep asking right?

I have gotten the DIYs for mermaid screen, bed and flooring and have made them. I've found a DOZEN pearls. Pascal just gave me the pink Princess Dress! I can't wait to collect all the rest! The suspense is worth it! I'm redoing a room for these! Love them!
As soon as I got the Princess Dress, I went ashore to get my nook phone out and send it to my best friends. Alas, it's not able to be shared. Bummer.

ooooooo! The wallpaper is iridescent! I love that so much ! What about the underwater wall with the fish swimming around? That could be fun too! I actually love the way the room looks with all the pieces in it and you decorated it so well! Putting the dresses on the wall with the shoes up there too remind me a lot of decorating for the wedding pictures we took! Cuz the wall is broken up into sections by the vertical columns and the dresses are about the same size as the rose swags!
DIYs show you if its customize in the nook phone. When you look at it on the app, the paint brush in the corner on the DIYs means its customizable
I love the Georgian feel to these I really want a Georgian house with that sort of furniture when I’m older so I’m defo gonna find these!

AbdallahSmash026 It is better. I don’t think OP was trying to be rude. It’s actually true. The mermaid set didn’t originally have re-colors, but they might change that in the future updates. I think everybody needs to chill. Animal Crossing isn’t a fast-paced game. And I feel like only AC fanatics really understand that perspective. If we added everything all at once, it wouldn’t be fun anymore.
@Shimmering Shamrocks Pocket camp runs a little clunkier and is more limited than NH but their events, friendship mechanic, NPC interaction (with the player/items in the camp), and ITEMS puts it above NH for now.

Not sure if you knew this already or not, but usually, in the DIY screen, if there's a faint paintbrush symbol in the DIY card screen or if you open up the full screen specific DIY, it'll say customizable at the bottom!

Have enough pearls and shells, need 5 DIY's blue dresses and shoes and tiara, also have both pink dresses, pink shoes sofar, think im doing ok, like the look of the items myself, trying using wetsuits for 3 colors to get home bonus not sure if it works yet (red stripe east, green leaf & nook sth yellow leaf west)
