The homestay looked very bad to me. Food was even worse. It is the story of whole of Sikkim and North Bengal. For bird watching I have visited Arunachal Pradesh too....same story. Uttarakhand and Himachal is so much better in terms of quality of stay and services. The lachen hotel is playing loud music as can be seen from your video. Pathetic. Your journey was wonderful I guess. Xuv700 is a wonderful car. Wish you many memories in your car.
Buransh is language of Uttarakhand.The flowers are called Rhododendron.
