I agree with you about Badlands website. It is not the easiest. I don't want to receive a box within a box and a bag inside the box with the dogfood. Too much waste. Also I don't care about a welcome letter or a cup because each dog gets a different amount of dogfood. I figure out what my dogs eat based on how they look and feel. Badlands also has a venison/lamb mix that my dogs really like. I get the 6 bag subscription which turns out to be $31.77 a bag. They also let you skip weeks if you need to. I have 3 dogs, one has always been very picky and has gut issues. She loves Badlands, so we are sticking with that one.

I use Badlands Ranch for my dog and once you create an account (Totally free), you pay less. I generally buy 6 bags at a time (1 1/2 lbs per bag) for $203.00, or about $34 per bag, not $59.
For bigger dogs, it seems like either of these are better as toppers with high quality kibble, or alt if you don't want your dog to have kibble. He's not butthurt, he's just underwhelmed with the service of not having a little bit better costumer experience like he was used to with other brands. He's just stating how each are different, but also states that both brands are a good option. To me a welcome package isn't a huge deal to me, but for first time purchases, I feel an actual scoop would be a nice gift to give the customer after them paying so much. I just ordered from them and I did end up spending a lot and an added scoop would maybe make it feel worth the amount I just spent. In the end, yes what matters most is the quality of the food, but for marketing purposes and to keep customers, customer experience is a big deal especially when shelling out more money for their product.

@@philkeil822 well I have done plenty of research and even talked to the woman I bought my dog from who has been breeding for over 30 years and she's the number 1 Irish setter breeder in the country by reviews and everything. Any food that says for all ages is not good. A puppy and an adult dog need different nutrients.
@@CowboyUp1371 In nature, I think once puppies are weaned there is no puppy food, they share any food available. Puppy formulas only matters when you are feeding nutritionally devoid food like regular kibble. We finished a bag of the Sundays Turkey and my dog loves it. It’s human grade, high in meat with no unnecessary synthetic vitamins. I mix it with a little lightly boiled chicken or ground beef. I rotate in Natures Logic it’s not human grade but uses no synthetics.
@@livecalm2246 I think I'll listen to the number 1 Irish setter breeder in the entire country and veterinarians over you who clearly has no idea what they're talking about. A puppy definitely needs different values or protein and everything over an adult dog. Vets would say the same thing. You wanna tell me a weined baby can eat a ribeye steak too?
