This is so great! We always had a Doberman as kid...baby...toddler. She was our babysitter in the backyard. No one was going to think about coming into the yard. And I never remember her being aggressive. She was just my Dad's dog. When Pepper saw my Dad's car miles away she would jump back into the fence. She was so afraid of storms too. Anyway this is why I love you brother!
Facts. Just because you have a guard dog does not mean they will attack when needed or ask. Also remember a guard dog most of the time just needs to bark at danger for danger to flee.Example someone breaks in your house, your guard dog runs towards him and barks, criminal sees him and runs. There are different kinds of training for different types of guards dogs. To protect someone or to protect a property or just a specific thing. All different and all need different training.
I have a gorgeous girl who’s father is full American pit bull xl and her mom is half bull mastiff/red nose. She was 80 lbs in her 9 month vet check up she’s ten months now and my land lady kicked myself, twelve year old son, and husband out. I’m currently still looking for a place to live. #for the love of my dog😂. A little stress a lot more blessed!
Get a German shepherd ... I just got one .. perfect for family especially if you get them at a young age.. and very naturally good guard dog. Doesn’t have to be a working line either just a healthy litter
I believe some dogs get the protection instinct later on in there life around 10 to 15 months sometimes. Saying that coming from a 5 month old presa owner. The breeder personally has had some of their presas not really get super protective until 10 months to 15
I'm excited to try to get my GSD into protection work possibly someday soon. We've been training solid obedience since he was a baby under many different circumstances. He's so well rounded and I know not all dogs will defend you in a bad scenario and since he's so secure in himself and friendly I wondered what he would do if a dog or person came after me. He's perfectly fine around all people and animals (raised around baby bunnies, rabbits and cats since a puppy) and when we went to the dog park a month or two back, he showed me that he's got my back (not to mention wards off crackheads in our area because he does naturally watch our surroundings.) anyway, at the dogpark, an untrained and unfixed male bully started springing in my face when I didn't like it and was very obviously uncomfortable, my shepherd was right near me and put him on his ass. It turned into a fight because the other dog went after him and I obviously grabbed my dog immediately, but he's got that dog in him. I've done everything to bond with him since little and I'm his person. I always stand up for him whether person or animal and it's nice to know my dude does the same. I think he's gonna pass evals in regard to temperament and drive too because he has amazing obedience and listens like a dream. GSDs are the perfect dog and one I always knew had somewhat of a predisposition for protection (under the right circumstances) and I'm glad I have mine
I wish i could've met you guys bc everything y'all mentioned in beginning of video is what im teaching my dog now he was very unstable thanks to last owner but with me people think he's the perfect dog & he is out of 3 previously you guys real know what yall talking about & i understand its hard to tell the world everything
I need help, I have a Jack Russell Terrier/Dalmatian mix. Dawson is my Service Dog! I’ve train him on potty, walking, sitting, etc Yet He gets attacked by other dogs at the park! I want him not to be afraid.
Here is what I got out of this: 1. Make your dog like you. 2. Must have the right breed. The title of the video does not match the content contained within it!
hey, fitbully where yall out of? looking for someone to work with my pup. I'm in a wheelchair. missing both legs. blaz is my service dog. he's a big boy. 9 months old American akita serbian rottie mix. 123 pounds. yall know how the world is these days. and when I'm out with just me n him, i wanna make sure we both are safe. he's still doing some obedience along with service dog tasks.

My dog is a little monster if im anxious or scared but if im the aggressor he tell me to stop that shit but he next level once someone hits me or puts it on my toes 27 kilograms of red nose pitbull sheer savage but id like to do some more bitework
All these metaphors are fun, but when do we get to some real details?? LoL, easy to do right from a puppy stage, but where’s the info on training an older dog? (Which is clearly doable, cause I’ve seen it multiple times). If Pro, give some info 🤷🏾♂️. Just said a bunch of common sense dog training stuff
“Just because he’s 6’7” doesn’t mean he’s gonna be Lebron”🤣 klassic line💯
I LOVE the way you guys talk about dogs. You treat them like family which is EXACTLY how they deserve to be treated
please more vids like this. i aspire to be as good a pit-dad as you

Can you make a video about dog bonding early on and how to bond efficiently.
It’s easy just feed them , play with them , walk them .. just treat them with love and that bond will be there
