5 Lunch’s Zanele Potelwa speaks to South African actress, TV personality, businesswoman, accountant and human rights activist, Nomzamo Mbatha.
Nomzamo was born and raised in KwaMashu, KwaZulu Natal, and has gone on to make a name for herself in Hollywood, starring in films alongside Eddie Murphy (Coming 2 America) and Bruce Willis (Soul Assassin).
Zanele visited Nomzamo on the set of her upcoming TV series, Shaka iLembe, where she is not only the lead actress but also the executive producer. They chat about the adversity she faced while her parents couldn’t afford to pay university fees, going through depression and how she rose above it all.
