Definitely weren’t the favorites but Iowa State has a very solid basketball program always in the tournament they will be a very tough out this year
This was a really good game for everyone on the Cyclones team, but I think I’m happiest for Momcilivic. This game was a huge confidence booster for him and I think he will carry that confidence with him moving forward.

It seems to me like teams in the Big 12 just get tired eventually after the constant competition and pressure of this league. Pretty much every game in this tournament was a blow out. And going up against such good competition every game wears down on you. I hope all the teams in this conference can get some good rest in before the big tournament next week!

@@DubCmusicTV BYU doesn't play on Sundays. This means the Big 12 tournament will not occur on Sundays going forward. The committee has an extra day to consider this win for a potential number one seed because BYU won't play on Sundays. One of the reasons Iowa State did not get a one seat in the past was because of the Sunday championship game.

This has been my ONE concern with Houston. Scoring can be tough to come by.
Welcome to the Big12 Houston. Everyone didn't take you seriously enough during the regular season and they deserved to get beat. But Iowa State took notice and came to remind you that you're in the Big12 now. Next season won't be as easy for you. The other teams will be ready.

hard to gauge Houston now going into picks for March Madness. plays dominant last 10 games and then thumped by the Cyclones
They’re not 2021 Baylor. They’ll lose in the 2nd weekend.
A lot of injuries hurt them.
Fatigue and playing at Hilton 2.0 were both major factors in how one-sided it was. But other than UConn, everyone is vulnerable this year.
They played an 8 man rotation the first 2 games...and pretty much a 7 man rotation today. Players get gassed, it happens. Good thing is you have more time in between games in The Dance
Not really hard to gauge them I’d still easily pick them over everyone except UNC/UConn, This loss helps Houston wake up.

I know ISU looked good today, but be careful how far you take them in your bracket. This team lost to K-State just 7 days ago and tends to play down to their opponents in the NCAA tournament
Then beat k state by 20 2 days ago... playing their best ball at the right time
In the end it didn’t matter if we won that game, but offensively we were performing terribly leading up to the game and loss by 6 on the road. If we shoot like we did tonight from 3 we’re an elite 8 maybe final 4 team.
If you believe they will keep shooting the 3 this efficiently then sure. Hopefully I’m wrong, but I don’t think it’s sustainable
@@calebpurcell3658 It's not just the shooting. Their ball movement on offense has noticeably improved, giving them easy layups, which then opens things up outside the 3 point line. Also, if they play in nearby Omaha, watch out! But the fans will probably travel well, no matter where they play.

I told people about Houston, they focus so much on defense that they go cold on offense. They don’t play loose they play too tight so to speak, UConn, Florida, Auburn, UNC would run them outta the building

Every ranked team from 11th place on up got beat in their tourney this weekend except ISU and UConn. Cyclones should have a #1 seed. Beat Houston 2 out of 3 games this year. They should be a 1 before Houston and especially UNC.

Houston couldn't shoot the ball when Marcus Sasser played there. The Cougars added LJ Cryer from Baylor, but only two players on the team can shoot the ball. It's time for ESPN, CBS, and everybody to stop praising this team for its defense. This isn't college football. If you can't shoot, you don't belong. Houston's style of gangsta ball is not the way to win. Fundamental basketball wins championships. Think Chris Mooney at Richmond with the Princeton offense and Porter Moser when he was at Loyola.
