I'm not sure about how sharpshooter really works because i change the language of the game and instead the description mention when you dual weild guns your damage is doubled. I dont know if it's a translation error but the fact that they write guns instead of riffle le me think otherwise. I think we need to test the damage numbers and what happening! 🙂🤘
This video and guide has made me realise I hadn't put anything into perks at all and am slightly embarrassed after 10 hours of playing to admit that but I was using high luck with a rifle so I guess my damage is about to double!
just use dead eye with most of the points in luck and after you got 70% krit go with strenght i do the same my ranged dmg is just over the top and my melee dmg is pretty good as well
I'm pretty sure that was meant in a general sense, like new or veteran players to the genre and not necessarily this game in particular. At least that is how I interpreted it.
If you wanted to add in a Semi-Range component to this cuz you like stabbing things as much as you like shooting them, try adding a one handed blade into it, and get the Wung-Fu that allows you to yeet the sword after 2 shots fired.
Agree, I’m just past the tutorial after the title screen pops up. Went with mercenary because of the kung fu nature of the game and because it was the pre order bonus but something feels off about melee. Going to start a dead eye character but won’t erase my mercenary save in case I ever want to go back to it and won’t have to redo the tutorial. Great video bro
@@michaelh3715 Yup I'll let my "dark side/karma" merc on standby for the moment and go for a "light side" dead-eye. I'll say though that the melee moves can be flashy
Literally almost identical to what I’ve been playing also. Only other thing I use constant is the bio moth ability (idk what it’s called) but it’s helped in crowd control as they start attacking each other instead of attacking you while you sit back and shred through the crowd.
Note that two of the Dead Eye perks specifically state 'non automatic rifle' and the third specifically states 'rifle' so I don't think a shotgun will gain anthing from these perks. Also, for those that don't know, 'non automatic rifle' (listed as just 'rifle' in game) is still 'automatic' like all ranged weapons (from my experiance), IE just hold fire down, you don't need to keep pressing fire per bullet. They are just slower than automatic but usually do more damage per bullet.
That's what I do. Just hold down RT/R2 with that electric Ultimate rifle from the Old World Vault in Suburbia. That + the relevant perks makes this build OP. I don't even focus armor. I just look for crit chance on them. I pumped 100 into agility on character creation because it increases your dodge range then every level up was luck. Fire, dodge, loot, repeat.
I think hands-down the best build in the game is a Luck build using the Shotgun base where you fire super slowly, but each shot gains 10% fire rate. I use an LMG Magazine with mine, so I have like 34 shots, and you can just switch to a pistol and back really quick to instantly have about 12 shots remaining, and it fires with the speed of a gatling gun because you skipped the last 20 shots, then you reload instantly. Pair this with the perk that gives two-handed guns double damage, and you can't go wrong. Also, the Super Wung Fu shots with this shotgun will fire so fast it's insane; you can decimate an entire crowd with one use of it.
So I play a Deadeye crit build based upon the the two-handed weapon ability but I have found a way to have dual wield pistols keep up and damaged pretty closely all you need is a base that has a BURST MODULE because it enables burst fire and increases the bullet count per shot by two and it works for both pistols so you shoot four bullets per shot pretty much doubling damage for both guns and can have a second ability on your other postol as well
Ive been playing duel weild crush shotgun sentinel, Ive personally enjoyed the combat even if its repetitive Ive enjoyed experimenting new ways to kill
I have the same build, except I put all my starting attributes into agility (movement speed), on level up I put all into luck, and I also prioritize Crit% through my armor and add ons over armor rating. I’m up to 95% crit at like 140 luck stat. Agility is up to 140ish too (started at 100). There’s old world body shaper side quests that will get you extra vitality and strength. I did put maybe 5 level ups Into strength and vitality combined. I haven’t noticed a need for high armor stats or ki energy because just simply strafing has been enough for me since everything dies before it reaches me. The best biogenic I can recommend is the moth one that causes enemies to fight against each other. It only costs one and it’s basically a free tank. The flame dash one (forgot the name) you get early could be used for a quick dodge because it actually goes farther and through enemies.
You stole my build :D Went exactly like this without any guide as seemed the best option. Thank for confirmation ;) Editing: after watched the video. Go shotguns! The reason is simple - you can find the ones with an exact if not even bigger range than riffles! That usually is the downside to use them, but not in this game. Oh, yes, and they do WAY more damage than the same level rifle and has way better combos for extra gameplay fun ;)
you can also get a shotgun with a modification on it that makes it have 0 spread which means its just as accurate (in theory as i havent crafted a shotgun yet) just as powerful if not more powerful then rifles
Is it safe to assume that any perks that affect non-automatic rifles counts towards anything labeled as just "rifle", like the sparkatron? I'm like 95% certain that normal rifles count, even though they technically fire in full auto, just with a slower fire rate.
Basically there's certain spells you can unlock depending on your good/bad stat and characters will comment accordingly to your greater stat and depending on your choices will get you the good/bad ending. I could be missing something but that's the gist from what I've learned.
Im using Merc but I want to be well rounded I started with strength and agility as a base. Now I'm working off that pumping up vitality strength and luck. I feel like luck is the best stat for this game regardless of the build you have
@@UnlimitedProduction1 same I started with Dead-Eye but it was too broken. Plus Dead eye only gives you one way to play that being ranged. Commando is super fun
Hello. Please tell me, if I want to take the dual-pistol style + one of the Contagion Flurpskruckis pistols, can this one be as powerful as the "auto rifle" build?
get one op pistol high damage, and another pistol with the every bullet fired increases fire rate, get the big double drum mag on both and then around 1/4 through the mag u hold and it fires 70 bullets in about 5 seconds. Game becomes to easy after that.
Don't waste any points in increasing resistances, there is a quest to get a full biohazard suit for each of the damage types. Just enter a hazard area for a few seconds and the quest will poplulate
Regarding those enemies that you have to melee ... You actually dont you can just use dash melee combo into ranged weapon attack and the bullets hit anyway. It should work with double jump ranged attack combo aswell ( havent tested it yet tho)
Do you know if the Tribe bow is affected by the Sharpshooter perk? It's not a gun but it's a two handed ranged weapon. So I'm pretty curious if it applies if I'm lucky. Thanks!

Luck is amazing, but once you are late game lvl 30+, u start to get armor addons that add ~10% crit chance each. paired with crit from gear/gun parts, u will quickly find urself at 150% crit if you pump too many points into luck- just a heads up!
maybe should edit the comment since they siginificantly nerfed this stuff so u get 1-2% instead of 10-12% just that no new players gets missinformation ^^
Everyone is saying this game is trash, but for some reason I want to play it so bad. And I have a couple of games I haven’t started such as horizon Zero dawn and ghost of Tsushima. Even tho I have those two master pieces and a handful of others, I really really want this game
Unpopular opinion on this, ranged dmg needs a solid 10-15% nerf. Melee 10% buff. Not a fan of nerfs in games, but right now putting melee into the same tier as range wouldn't make sense. Just able to dodge and deal insane damage doesn't compare well when you play melee in this game and can get consecutively hit by anything and thrown by large enemies. I got tossed three times in a row before when I got slightly surrounded.
Dead-Eye is strictly for Guns. Commando is guns and Melee. Also Commando gives you a more overall usage for guns while Dead-Eye is solely focused on Rifles. It has something for dual wield but its mainly for rifles. I'd day go with Commando I find it more fun i switched from Dead Eye
Have you ever tried pulling that trigger when super wung fu is engaged? You should … good fun. Oh and use the jagni Bo weapon to mobility check your way out of everything while chaining moves to get that super wung fu to activate
I know this is completely irrelevant but why won't It let me interact with the 3rd base to the west for the rival tribe quests I keep going up to the gate to take over the base but nothing happens.
Does anyone know what the random jingle or ring sound is in game? I'll be walking in seemingly random areas and hear a 3 note sound (dee, doo, dee). Does it mean a treasure is nearby?
commando is hybrid gun melee because he has class perks for both ranged and melee, but his ranged buffs lean towards shotguns, whereas deadeye leans towards rifles and dual-pistols
So I've been seeing a lot that you can't increase your Luck at all when setting your attributes, and I've found that to be incorrect. While messing around, I found a VERY particular pixel sized spot located below Strength, between Vitality and Agility that ended up giving me +1% to Loot Chance. Not much, but worth noting. Again, VERY VERY small spot, and it's possible it was a bug, but it was there!
I'm 6 hours in so far and haven't found a single gun or parts to build one yet. I'm still using the starter pistol and it's taking forever to kill things
join a tribe, i dont think it matters which one but i know for certain myriad and jagni give the same exact rifle when you do their first fortress conquering quest which you can encounter less then 20 minutes into the game (minus tutorial time) and since youre quite far in if you do the main quest to get the mekton and talk to moog you can go to a place called suburbia, kill a mini-boss and get a legendary rifle early on
mmmh. I found 2 pistol that kill capitain mob (but lv 48 btw on hard mode) at the same speed as u do and i also have 100 ammo magazine with this dual pistol...so dead eye is the esiest to use for everyone ofc but not the strongest. Also luck dosnt do anything for dmg at all later on, since i have 130% crit with gear alone.
I feel like Dead Eye is overrated. I switched feom Dead Eye to Commando because I'm shredding everything with Commando simply due to the fact that cents do 10% more damage so im basically doing just as much or if not more damage with commando than I am with dead eye if I was using rifles. I have only 100 on luck, but will not be upgrading it further.
@@hugothecuban oh thats bad, dont know about it tbh....i actually just end even the ng+. All i know there are some issue when u modified your gear, upgreade it on the table and than swap the mod that can bug the item, make sure to save before doing some of this stuff. then idk if they nerf thing, dsnt rly make sense for aingle player game tbh
Yes. Your just given perks that unlock his abilities earlier than if you chose them yourself later in the game. Any class pick can be tailored to any play style. Melee, spell, and ranged weapons are part of all class abilities. The beginning just boosts some traits early is all.
I'm currently playing an hybrid range / melee build on my dead-eye character and it's pretty fun. Rifles have some wung-fu perks that allow you to knock small enemies off their feet, creating nice openings for a few melee hits with a heavy 2-handed melee. It's fairly similar to what was shown here, except with some points dumped in strength and vitality, and some more points dumped into wung-fu instead of passive perks.
@@arthurvilain7270 also picked deadeye but am primarily going melee so not sure if I picked the right class or not lol. I'd like guns to be effective as well but currently I think I'm only a level 9 and have most of my stats in strength for the melee damage. It's at maybe a 56 or 66 I believe. Next I was prioritizing luck for crit and then a little bit of vitality. Not sure what stats I should actually be focusing on for that hybrid
I have 200 Agility, 130 melee, and 100 luck. You mainly want to focus on Melee and agility. Luck is okay but once you get to level 40ish you start getting more critical chance addons so luck is useless at that point. I also run Auto Rifles because his Crit chance damage perk is insane when youre shooting that many bullets. I'm going to start using shotguns more and dual wielding because Dead-Eye is the more focused class on rifles
We'll be on a break from them for a while because there's Solasta releasing tomorrow and we have to cover that too ... If nothing else the written versions are on the site fextralife.com/tag/mass-effect-legendary-edition/
It sure would be nice if they had some kind of preorder bonus to come with this game. A new class would be cool. Something neat to make a character with instead of the ones that already came with the game. I think a duel wield samurai would be a cool idea. If only there actually was a preorder bonus... i guess i can always dream.
@@nurcirino i was being sarcastic. Theres a bug thats making it so me and most of the other people who preordered on ps4 never got the preorder bonus we were promised.
Biomutant really feeling like Fable 2 huh. Pretty world to explore, choice between "good vs evil", intriguing world building, potentially great combat that's really clunky at times, initially good plot that ends up with disappointing pay offs, and guns are the meta build. At least the devs seems to really care about this game... Hopefully things are alot better in future updates.
And then they nerfed Deadeye into the ground by reducing it's key perk to 25% effectiveness to "strengthen" melee. Why not just give Melee a similar option or hell even higher to make it more enticing? Or give the player some kind of super armor for combos(which since the patch I can't even seem to get to trigger reliably now, pressing directions during the XXY for example makes the combo not trigger). Give us animation cancels for parry and dodge since enemy attacks get priority over you, enemy hitboxes are generally broken AND you get swarmed with no inherent crowd control options unless you go into Psi-Powers.
Its not nerfed to the ground what are you talking ? The build is still broken af to the point that Most likely every enemy except the World eaters are laughable
@@rastax123 Nah, takes way longer to kill with ranged considering you lost 50% of your damage. Reducing the effectiveness of an ability to one third of what it originally was is still a huge nerf.
I tested Split and it did nothing for me... Blast Powder is really good though - all shots deal AOE in a 5m radius... you can shred groups it's nice :)
Deadeye is still a much better option for auto-rifles because of the sharpshooter perk. If your goal is to use 2 handed guns, deadeye will be better than any other class hands down. You could still go commando though and do just fine in the game.
Remember those same people who've been bashing the game get paid to create content good or bad they still get paid for it and your opinion of it is the only thing that really matters
Personally I enjoy the game as a whole on max settings this game is absolutely beautiful. It's a bit repetitive... I started the main quest but found myself getting sidetracked more than a cartographer with add

How about am optimized PSI or Melee build?
They already have a psi Build uploaded
Does anyone know what the random jingle or ring sound is in game? I'll be walking in seemingly random areas and hear a 3 note sound (dee, doo, dee). Does it mean a treasure is nearby?
Its the Automaton
Been running a hybrid magic melee build with a bunch of health on kill.
Damn, I'm almost done with my playthrough and have not seen chainshot perk on a weapon once.
Is commando not the range class I am confused?
commando is hybrid gun melee because he has class perks for both ranged and melee, but his ranged buffs lean towards shotguns, whereas deadeye leans towards rifles and dual-pistols
I just use the gun from the monster hunt. Thing just kills everything
I'm 6 hours in so far and haven't found a single gun or parts to build one yet. I'm still using the starter pistol and it's taking forever to kill things
Damn you gotta look places by 3 hours I had a rifle and another mele weapon
@@TheOctomasprime I think my problems is I'm spending too much time looking around
join a tribe, i dont think it matters which one but i know for certain myriad and jagni give the same exact rifle when you do their first fortress conquering quest which you can encounter less then 20 minutes into the game (minus tutorial time) and since youre quite far in if you do the main quest to get the mekton and talk to moog you can go to a place called suburbia, kill a mini-boss and get a legendary rifle early on
Would Love to see a Bow Build! Pleeeeaaassse!!
Can’t really have a“build” for the bow. It works well with all characters
Haven't seen bows in the game sadly, just firearms.
@@DrunkenRhinoceros you get the bow from the jumbo puff western area by claiming all the outposts
Commando guide when :*?
What class r u
@@hugothecuban mercenary
@@SebaToZanarkand I just had my Netra pants that had 24 crit chance have 0 crit chance now I think they nerfed some gear
@@hugothecuban oh thats bad, dont know about it tbh....i actually just end even the ng+. All i know there are some issue when u modified your gear, upgreade it on the table and than swap the mod that can bug the item, make sure to save before doing some of this stuff. then idk if they nerf thing, dsnt rly make sense for aingle player game tbh
what breed
Can i play mercenary as a range class ?
Yes. Your just given perks that unlock his abilities earlier than if you chose them yourself later in the game. Any class pick can be tailored to any play style. Melee, spell, and ranged weapons are part of all class abilities. The beginning just boosts some traits early is all.
@@DrunkenRhinoceros good because I always restarted lol
If you want the game to be super easy then yeah use this build
Min maxing is its own sort of fun.
Wrong. If the guide was for that it'd tell you to spec hard into light side points for levitate. *That* makes it super easy.
Sad thing i was misslead by the french traduction of the game that say that sharpshooter skill double damage when holding two pistol -_-
on russian it is two pistols too
Duel melee next please
I did a luck based deadeye build and it's crazy good
Appreciate the guide, but after seeing this I think I'll go melee... this looks too easy and thus a dull way to play.
@@arthurvilain7270 me too !!! Dead eye mix melee and range = true DMC build !
Ok, it's also possible with saboteur and Merc very easily XD
@@arthurvilain7270 also picked deadeye but am primarily going melee so not sure if I picked the right class or not lol. I'd like guns to be effective as well but currently I think I'm only a level 9 and have most of my stats in strength for the melee damage. It's at maybe a 56 or 66 I believe. Next I was prioritizing luck for crit and then a little bit of vitality. Not sure what stats I should actually be focusing on for that hybrid
I'm playing full sentinel melee build, and I'm enjoying every second
@@NYC_Goody honestly doesn’t really matter. After a while all classes end up being a hybrid build
Please create a commando build I have no idea what to build on it.
Is a mass effect Adept guide planned?
Not sure when / if we'll get back to Mass Effect as Solasta is launching tomorrow and we had guides prepared for that too. :S
Me just waiting on that Commando class video
So does this mean there's no more Mass effect builds videos coming out?
We'll be on a break from them for a while because there's Solasta releasing tomorrow and we have to cover that too ... If nothing else the written versions are on the site fextralife.com/tag/mass-effect-legendary-edition/
@@Fextralife ok thank you
I'm using Rex with deadeye and spec into intellect I have the best sword the pro murgel and ranged weapon and I smoke them
It sure would be nice if they had some kind of preorder bonus to come with this game. A new class would be cool. Something neat to make a character with instead of the ones that already came with the game. I think a duel wield samurai would be a cool idea. If only there actually was a preorder bonus... i guess i can always dream.
If you pre order you get the Mercenary Class for free, which is literally a dual wield class option.
@@nurcirino Joke went right over your head.
@@MasterDao well I ain't gonna catch it now
@@nurcirino i was being sarcastic. Theres a bug thats making it so me and most of the other people who preordered on ps4 never got the preorder bonus we were promised.
@@nurcirino whoosh! There it goes! Never to be seen again.
Love it. Dunno why this game is getting flack. It's pretty fun
@@otakon17 i need like one magazine for fort bosses. Its a joke. 100 crit, 1400crits on and on
I dont see any jedis around, why do i keep hearing jedi builds?
Probably because of force lightening and telekinesis

wait so the games actually good? i didn’t get it bc I saw bad reviews everywhere
@@fry2338 im having a good time with it
I was thinking Commando was the automatic rifle choice.
Same I still don't know what to build for it...
Deadeye is still a much better option for auto-rifles because of the sharpshooter perk. If your goal is to use 2 handed guns, deadeye will be better than any other class hands down. You could still go commando though and do just fine in the game.
Was really looking forward to it but this game is getting bashed up hard
Yeah, but I like it so far :) Besides, 101 can drop more content later and this game is ripe for mods
Remember those same people who've been bashing the game get paid to create content good or bad they still get paid for it and your opinion of it is the only thing that really matters
