I consider myself a hard-core track fan. We live near Eugene and go to almost all the stadium events. Every year we watch every diamond league as a family. I would even consider paying up to $10 or $12 per track meet just to watch. but at $30 a month, flotrack is asking me to pay $20+ per diamond league meet just to be a fan and I don’t think we can do that. It breaks my heart because T&F brings my family together and it’s something we love doing together.

Looked it up, the DL is an independent organization (based in Switzerland) not owned by World Athletics, but WA is a minor investor. It licenses broadcasting rights to a company called Infront, who sublicenses out the broadcast rights to individual countries/regions. NBC wasn't willing to pony up the $$$ they wanted so Flotrack stepped in and signed a contract for DL rights in the USA. Note that NBC still owns broadcast rights to the Pre Classic, the Olympics, and a bunch of other track meets here in the USA, so Flotrack does not have a stranglehold on USA broadcasting. Still crappy that its a $30/mo subscription to watch those meets. Sorry Flotrack, but I'm not going to pony up the cash.

I think the word you're looking for is - MESS! The $64,000 Question is - who got greedy - Diamond League or FloTrack? I wouldn't give NBCUniversal $5.99/mo for Peacock so I'm sure as hell not giving Flotrack $29.99/mo. The annoying thing is this is only in the US and US territories - the very place the sport needs to grow the most. The Diamond League is only select events at each meet. Are they going to sell this as a season package or on a month-to-month basis? Or do they even know? It's very telling this is only in the US markets. Price gouging Americans. Hmmm...isn't Wanda a Chinese company? Are they upset about the whole Congress trying to cancel TikTok thing or what? LOL!

Up till now, here in the United Kingdom the DL has been watched free to air every season on the BBC. I expect it to stay that way 🎊❤️🥂💐🎉🤷🏽‍♂️

Condolences. This happened to us cycling fans, too. After the closure of Global Cycling Network's streaming service, I now have to pay $150 per season for FloBikes, which has worse streams, and spoilers all over their webpage.

I wonder what CEO thought 🤔 about that big decision to lose spectators just to get a profit for themselves: My mom always told me to look at it 💵 and cents: and this decision is all about that: and nothing else!!! If you want to see it, pay for it!!! And that is the attitude and that is unfair and unfortunate: I am sorry that happened but somebody would be streaming it like that California International track and field ( Massi Russell) ... thanks for sharing that information!!!

What about Total Running productions couldn’t you try to make a platform and stream the races. I know I probably sound unrealistic but it's sounds possible due to the fact that you already have a brand a large following .

Why doesn't TRP team up with them shoe companies and strike a deal with Netflix to start a completely new sport channel? Get backing from MJ, Bolt and so on? Don't feature just the events on that day. Setup training series and big coach interviews. Run series shows about certain universities and track dynasties and what not?
I'm a creative director at an ad agency so this shiz pops in muh brain all the time. TRP has that riz now so make it happen.

I love track and field its a large part of why I actually have peacock. I also really enjoy professional wrestling so getting all WWE PLEs along with a host of documentaries and other wrestling programming is great. I'm not adding another streaming service to the laundry list of services I already have, especially one that is $30 a month. That's an absolute slap in the face price tag
