I've been listening to kpop since 2008 and it surprises me that people can't wrap their head around the fact that these idols are or work in South Korea aka one of the capitals of plastic surgery which means no idol is exempt from having it and there's nothing wrong with it! the way i see it is these idols fandoms continuously denying that they have had work done when 99% of the times they have is keeping the stigma around it which also affects the fans who constantly compare their natural selves with their unattainable beauty

Some fans are literally children that form a parasocial relationships because they dont understand every tiktok, video, behind the scenes is specifically tailored to appeal to teenagers. They are literally unaware that idols are products made specifically to appeal to youngsters and instead think that the people performing are actually independent artists that dont have scripts. I don't understand how some people are getting mad at the fact she's had plastic surgery done, like this happens to most idols because their companies force it. Korean beauty standards and the industry is so toxic, and women who don't fit the beauty standard are hated on constantly, and women who do fit the beauty standard attract more fans which ofc equals more money. Wait same here, i used to have thick upper and bottom lips and protruding front tooth. But after braces for about 2 years, my upper lips is a lot thinner and prettier. Maybe cuz my upper tooth were pushing my lips upwards and now it's normal so my natural shape is out. I love it now 😂❤
