  • Being a recruiter can be frustrating! It's hard work and things go wrong often. Being able to fix situations that happen behind the scenes is so important. We have to keep both our clients and candidates happy and that means creating a smooth interview experience.

GAWWWD...Im a recruiter for the past 13 years and i used to love being one...now i hate it...i know you trying to preach the gospel..but seriously....i am the empathetic recruiter....i am the recruiter that never gives up....had the passion etc...but seriously i have had enuff!!!...My frustations as follows: crappy abusive clients and yes crappy abusive candidates...lets start with candidates...you work a job spec.,..send the best candidates....your best candidate of the lot get the job....throughout the whole process she/he been preaching about how much he/she wants the job etc...then gets it...starts the job...one week later phones me to tell me he/she found another job??? lets not forget the psycho candidates...who behaves exactly the same way,.,,goes through the whole process...goes on how he/she wants the job ...so excited etc..then gets the job....current employers gives counteroffer they take it....don't tell me I need to have the counter offer talk/coaching session before etc,,,been there done that!!,,then we have the client...gives u a job spec...wants the best candidate for the least below market related salary....you end up working the spec over and over...because everything and everyone is a problem for a "peanut" fee rate..i have had clients regretting candidates for the most irrelevant reasons....basically i have reached that point of insanity...and i cant believe i am saying this ...but i am done with recruitment!!! Honestly being a recruiter can be super overwhelming,,,you cant even meet a new person in a social circle without them asking you to find them a job when you tell them you are a recruiter after asking you what you for a living...people think recruiters are super humans who can find everyone a job.....i know when you read this...you are gona also have a good laugh...because you or your colleagues have been there...and if not we both know they will be there... Anyway...hope you keep your passion...all the best...but im def over it .... :)..i would love to hear your views..i downloaded a copy of your ebook,...i will read it nonetheless...before the last kick of this dying horse....lol
