The video was released with an incorrect title and thumbnail. This video is Train Simulator 2017 and NOT Train Sim World which is the subject of the video talk.
Unfortunately due to the rush to make videos before heading to Gamescom my editor made a mistake. I have corrected the title but I cannot fix the thumbnail until I return from Cologne. It should be obvious from the thumbnail picture that it is not Trainsim World and I make that very clear during my intro.
My apologies to everyone. I was certainly not intentionally trying to mislead. Mistakes were made.

It would be cool if Train sim and truck sim collaborated and there was some sort of MMO style business model such as "transport Fever" accept you control the vehicles in this fashion.
There is a good manual for csx heavy haul. Although it don't go through every switch that you can use in the train, almost all of them are covered.

I am a massive battlefield player but I have actually just bought a racing game (project cars 2) for the first time along with the G920 wheel after watching your videos! Nice to have some relaxing games as well as competitive. Keep it up bud

Ok, since it seems nobody has talked about this...
The reason why there is no Third Party Development for TSW it's because we simply still don't have the tools to develop for the game.
Mainly because the software is still underdeveloped. Passenger dynamics are just going to be introduced right now and steam, hybrid, turbine and electric mechanics haven't still be implemented.

btw that "barrier at the back" at roughly 9:40 are called the buffers. One cheeky tank engine told me they are to "stop engines from crashing" but other than that fantastic video.
Take a shot for every time you see people being salty about the title (Train Sim World) when he wanted to focus on that. Let him be hyped :D

Phil Marshall I remember having the original RS.. but the GWE for train sim world looks insane however they only go between London and Reading
I think Squirrel needs an ingame drone, so he can toss it out the window for scenery and still keep his eyes on those controls.
A couple of points, GWR runs from London Paddington to Penzance in the south west and Swansea and beyond in Wales Then you have various branch lines as well.
The AWS was what was making you stop. In real life the drive has something like a couple of seconds to cancel it before it puts in full braking service. When you get the bell the signal is green. When you get the buzzer it means the signal is yellow or red. It also acts as a safety system to make sure the drive is awake and alert. That's why they only have a few seconds to cancel it.
Also freight trains can only do 75mph
As of this month the electrification goes as far Maidenhead on GWML but catenary is up in reading area

1 tonne of load, passengers or freight, is insignificant in comparison with the mass of a train so you probably wouldn't notice any difference in the trains ability to accelerate.

IIRC DTG plan to release development tools later on in the year, maybe around December time, that could be when Third Party stuff starts appearing. As it stands though I think there's both some developer hesitation and lack of tools holding people back. There have been a couple of sound mods I think but that's about it AFAIK.

If you buy well on Steam, you can get alot for Train Simulator, for less than £45 I got London-Brighton, Portsmouth Direct Line, Chatham Mainline, Wearsdale and terdale, Munich-Augsberg, South Wales. What's the new Arosa line like

I think they were focused on everything related to the train sim like the tracks the power lines the track snd the lights but they ignored the details like buildings cars and roads

I remember going to the UK when they had those big floods, at new years eve was nearly a 5 hour trip from Worthing because the tracks had been shut down!! then another 5 hour trip back! longest short trip in my life.

Sadly I don't think my pc will be able to run Train Simulator World when it releases, I very breifly tried the heavy haul early access thingy, medium-low settings I was getting 40fps average!! Would have thought sli gtx 1070s would have been enough for at least a locked 60fps at 1080p, alas I guess it's upgrade time again :(
If I had this game I would only do LONG freight trains cause I find them most enjoyable

Misleading to say the least. Simulation games of the real world have yet to fit buildings in the ground so they look realistic, let alone have Ai passengers not walk like Bill and Ben the flower pot men. The evolution has been glacial. Why do I get the feeling I am getting ripped off by this slow progression?

Official routes always have a couple of standard trains and scenarios for the region. Then there are optional dlc released for extra trains and stock.

The game did not mess up you missed out on some frieght so you collect the remaining trucks. The games right, you were just too busy talking and not concentrating mate

With the route they come some (in the latest DLC's only Career Scenarios; in older DLC's it's a mix
You can create your own scenarios
Or you can download scenarios fron Steam Workshop (only for the routes at selling on Steam)
