I was an orderly years ago and had to help out in the psyche ward. I have seen a 90lb woman tear ripstop clothing off of a 300lb orderly and she did this for 3 days. There is no way to control people that do this. The best you can do is lock them in a room where they cannot hurt themselves or others and wait for them to run out of steam. Its SCARY to watch let me tell you. I was NOT prepared the first time it happened and it was NOT uncommon.

She could have bailed herself out in 12 hours or even gotten out on pre-trial release. It really isn't that bad if you don't cause problems. I don't judge because we've all had bad days.
