If you want to read a shortened version of the scarlet letter that is also a historical fiction: Hester by Laurie Lico Albanese. Her writing is so much easier to understand and you get a little bit of the Salem witch trials in there.😊
I think you meant to read The Crucible for a Salem Witch Trial book! It’s a play but let me tell you, the drama is WILD. Read it in high school and didn’t truly understand, but when I read it recently I was sat. I think you’d enjoy it!
If you're looking for a salem witch trials book I really recommend the Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow. It is historical but also has a bit of a fantasy/magic element. Super good/emotional read!!
Wish I could’ve warned you to skip the intro of the scarlet letter! A lot of high school teachers even tell their students to skip (my teacher however did not 😭)
🦎 Just so you know skyward has nothing to do with the Cosmere. Only his adult high fantasy books are in the Cosmere. But this series is amazing and I’m really glad you like the first book.

Also after this series I would either start with his other young adult sci-fi series Steelheart or with his adult stand alone novel Tress of the Emerald Sea or one of his adult series called Mistborn. Those are the other easiest to get into by him.

In a sea of those "I LOVED IT" reviews, it's refreshing to see someone else had the same thoughts I did on The Ministry of Time...I really did not like this book...it was just a mess, and it is overhyped in my opinion...just a bad book...lol. I think I gave it a 1 or a 2 stars. Great vid!
