  • Pleated (or gathered) lamp shades can be so charming and be a great way to incorporate colors or patterns into a space. They can have quite the price tag though, so today I'm DIYing my own! No sewing is necessary for this project - all you need is some fabric, a lampshade, and a hot glue gun ❤️

    the original one looked heavy and you transformed it to an elegant lamp with cohesive color. Beautiful!! I so love the color.

    I was JUST looking for TH-cam tutorials on how to make a pleated lampshade a couple days ago!! I made mine without seeing your tutorial, but next time I’ll try how you did it because I was wanting to make it with all the small pleats like how you had it!

    The lampshade looks lovely. You did such a great job. You might find it easier, and less bulky to cut the trim on the bias.

      Thanks so much 🥰 I realized that too!

    Bias cut on trim would make for less bulk as it would give more on curve.. lovely first go!

    I loved this video as it is exactly what I am looking for! I have two lamps with lovely bases but very boring shades so I have added this to my long “ to do “ list!
    My only suggestion would be to cut the hemming fabric on the bias as I think it might make it easier to edge the shade.

      Thank you! Excited for you to try it out (: and great tip, folding it over definitely made it more difficult!

    Would it help if you iron the pleats first and then clothespin as you go?????

    Eek! I tried this and had trouble getting my fabric to stick to the shade the the folded pleats with the hot glue. Was your fabric 100% cotton?

    • @Euniceathome
      @Euniceathome  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh no :/ I cant remember but I think it could’ve been, it was rly thin! What kind of fabric did you try?

    Hello. Thank you for sharing this tutorial. I didnt buy enough fabric for 3 times round. How do I join the fabric together first? Do i need to sew the pieces together first? Many thanks, Caroline

    • @Euniceathome
      @Euniceathome  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for watching! Sewing would work :) or you could also hot glue the edges when you’re adding on the next piece of fabric. Hope that helps!

    Thanks for showing how you did this. It looked great. I have a lamp that the shade needs to be done. So this is exactly how I will do it. If anyone reading this does not know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour please call on him now. Ask him to forgive your sins and save you. Then turn from those sins and lie for him . He gae us his Holy word so we would know how we need to live. Jesus loves you and wants you to be a part of God's family.
