When I was a kid my step dad came around when I was about 10 in 1998. He listened to a lot of country and I didn't care for it. And then Tim McGraw came on one day with Don't take the girl. And that was my introduction to liking country and to Tim mcgraw. Then about 6 to 7 years later I got my first job at Kmart and my buddy Kevin that worked there was from North Carolina. And he used to listen to a ton of country and that expanded my horizons a lot. Country still isn't one of my top favorites and I don't listen to a lot of recent stuff most of the stuff I listen to is from the 90s to mid-2000s but Tim McGraw can still get it. And so can his wife.
You should react to a bit more female country as well! Do a bit of Mary Chapen Carpenter..."Down At The Twist and Shout" or "Shut up an Kiss Me'...love that 90s country
