    I haven't got around to repotting my orchids for at least 25 years,so that's why I'm watching this!They still flower each year so I haven't bothered.I remember buying the original ones in the early 90's and split and repotted them one time.The house is being repainted so I had to move them and then realised it was overdue.That's what you might call procrastination.

      After that time they would be growing on themselves almost. Good luck with the repotting work.

    So happy to find this, im not close to being a gardener, but i try . I last repotted Aug 2020, and I was really just guessing what to do. Ive seen some american youtube, but this one is definitely what i need since we have different climate here in Australia. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm so excited to start repotting now.

    Hello there, great repotting video. I myself grow a few Cymbidium and Gram Cymbidium orchids. They are among my favorite orchids. It's interesting the way you remove the leaves. Thanks for sharing. Happy growing. 🥂.

    I've got an Orchid pot that was packed to the brim and it took me all day to get the plant out, wheww..
    Man, I wish I knew about the knockeroffer - I've got one somewhere in the shed. I'll know from now on.
    Thanks for the demonstration .... tomorrow I will begin teasing the roots and endeavour to divide the plant.
    Also please, where can I get a hold of one of those black square soil boxes - is there a name for it or a shop?
    Thanks - subbed.

    So what do you do with it water throughly or not but some and leave it partly sunny ☀️ or not .... Mine always die or some little percent live but take a long while to grow back so mostly I left it grow wildly in the old pots

    I have just bought one and so love it. But the pot is too small and i think in spring i need to repot it to a bigger pot. May i ask if i can buy the special soil like urs in the video to repot it? I dont know where to find it. Its may stupid to ask but we dont use normal soil for this type of plant, right? Thanks so much ❤

    • @orchidswithwarren6839
      @orchidswithwarren6839  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I make my own mix & I would suggest contacting your local orchid society as they usually can advise what or where to get it & most actually sell it. Cymbidiums mostly grow in trees so no soil is not good as it stays too wet for them.

    • @orchidswithwarren6839
      @orchidswithwarren6839  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Sometimes but I re-potted or divided about 400 this year & at least 70% would have flower spikes.

      I use composted bark, small quartz pebbles & charcoal as the main ingredients. I have a video that is getting ready to do Cymbidiums.

    Cymbidiums... such a pleasure to grow... love their generosity in their root growth and the reliability in blooming. I grow mine, I only have one because of space issues, in a leca and self watering set up.

      No the pot was just the right size & will do for three years which is when I redo them all. Been doing Cymbidiums for many years, still have over 1,000 & no problems with pot sizing so far.
