Yes! It's been really interesting to watch S1 of SKAM Austin and see what choices Julie's made. The series has a similar storyline to the original but may veer off into new territory in S2. I hope you watch it and like it! :)

Can't believe this is your first video. You are doing an outstanding job. I've done videos professionally (training, so the focus is not on me), and I find it really hard. As someone who does videos, I am impressed with your natural pacing. You speak very clearly and with a very comfortable pace, while being entertaining to listen to. The structuring of the whole video was also top notch. A lot of people ramble on without clear direction. You really divided things up in a very logical manner and as someone who has watch a lot of Skam, I think you really nailed most of the essentials really well. So you seem to have done your research well while being good at picking the subset of things which are most important and relevant to talk about. And finally something I don't normally like commenting on. It is not just that you got talent but you are also pretty in almost a SKAM kind of sense. I like how you have these sort of nice moderate color combination. The pink lipstick with the light blue shirt was a nice combination. You come across as this really friendly cute girl next door. So you got everything going to be a youtube hit. You got both the looks and the talent ;-)
I joined the fandom two/three weeks ago after watching random clips of evak youtube recommended and so I didn't know that originally this show was posted in real time. That sounds so interesting and i am bummed that i wasn't aware of it then. You're video was very nice, well done and informative.

I really like Spain's but I have to wait longer for translations than I did for the OG, which makes it feel less rooted in reality. If you're up for it, SKAM Austin is the closest I've been able to get to the experience of OG SKAM. The second season should start very soon!
i love skam so much. i'm from finland so norway is super close to us. and i really love all the remakes that have been done since the og ended. i really hope that people would watch it more, because like you said in the video, it talks about a lot of important and big issues. love you and love this video❤️

Hi! So I watched this video a few weeks ago, to kinda understand SKAM, because I was confused on where to start which one was OG, etc. And I literally just finished watching Season 3 of Norway SKAM and just want to say, WATCH IT!! It is one of the best teen dramas I have ever watched. I came across this compare and contrast bubble for young royals and SKAM and got hooked. This is perfect because not only being a teen this hits the nail on the coffin for many problems/ issues/ and just general stuff to happen for teens, especially in this day and age, so thanks Elizabeth!!!
The reason why I loved Skam so much was because the actors who portrait the characters were actually the same age and not some 26 adults who play a 16 year old high school kid like it is usually. Love your video.😆
I started with the France remake not knowing that there's a whole plethora of remakes of this show!!! I fell deeply in love with it that I'm pretty sure I'll be watching all the remakes!! Will be watching the original one next! AND thank you for this video!
what's so amusing about the popularity of SKAM worldwide is that Julie Andem have been creating these kinds of web dramas for a decade, back in 2008 she created a series that I watched as a kid but the characters were a little bit younger so it was more open for a younger audience, and then when the show ended in 2010 a new series started which I loved. She has always made web dramas where the characters have social media or you can watch their own blog entries to feel like they are real people. I'm not a big skam fan but I hope she'll make more series like this so people can enjoy :)

I remember when I wanted to watch SKAM for the first time, it wasn't avalible with czech subtitles and I watched it with english subtitles and a translator. That made the experience super unique and unforgetable❤️

The Norwegian version was the first version I watched around almost 3 years ago, I didn't feel the need to watch another version because I love the Norwegian version so much . I don't think I'm ready to move on

I found out about the show from watching edits that had the show in it or edits of the show that were in my recommendations probably bc of how popular it is. I hadn’t heard of it before but I can’t wait to watch it once I figure out how. You should do more videos, I like your personality, you speak clearly, etc.
Here in 2023 because I'm writing my dissertation about skam. I've been a fan of the show since 2016 and i remember how i asked my teacher to go to the bathroom everytime a new clip was dropped hahaha (even if i couldn't understand anything since i'm italian). Great job on the video, you handled the information very well! As for me, season 3 was what introduced me to Skam, and seeing that relationship was so heartwarming for me, it felt authentic too as i've dealt with similar situations (Lucas and Elliott in Skam France touched my soul lol). But Season 4 is where i fell in love with Skam. The dipiction of Sana really called out to me, as she was the first person depicted in a more mainstream media that i could relate with in such a way. Hope to see more videos from you soon! If not about SKAM, covering other medias (TV series, Movies, Novels, etc) with similar topics would be awesome too, as it would let people like me find more characters that represents our voices.

I discovered the Skam Universe just on 2 weeks ago (the Belgian Skam called Wtfock showed up randomly on my instagram) And was IMMEDIATELY obsessed. 😬🙂 So much so that I hunted down translated versions of all the Remakes - So out of all 8 Skam Universes I only have 2 seasons of Druck (German Skam) and the French version left to watch 😬 I LOVE the Skam Universe and will forever be in love with it. 💛💛💛

I didn't know about the show till I watched a fan videos of SKAM Espana and the original SKAM. I wanna watch both shows now because of the main couple. They're so cute. I know a lot more about it after watching this video. So thank you for making it.
but literally my thing about the skam remakes is that like i can’t watch any of them without wanting to cry. THE OG IS SO GOOD. and like the remakes make me miss the og sooooo muchhh because like duh and 9 seasons of that woulda been better than 4 seasons and 4 remakes lol whoops🍵🍵
I feel ya! The OG will always be the ultimate! I really like SKAM Espana, it follows the original but doesn't feel like a copy. Maybe try that one?

Hi! So I watched this video a few weeks ago, to kinda understand SKAM, because I was confused on where to start which one was OG, etc. And I literally just finished watching Season 3 of Norway SKAM and just want to say, WATCH IT!! It is one of the best teen dramas I have ever watched. I came across this compare and contrast bubble for young royals and SKAM and got hooked. This is perfect because not only being a teen this hits the nail on the coffin for many problems/ issues/ and just general stuff to happen for teens, especially in this day and age, so thanks Elizabeth!!!

The reason why I loved Skam so much was because the actors who portrait the characters were actually the same age and not some 26 adults who play a 16 year old high school kid like it is usually. Love your video.😆

what's so amusing about the popularity of SKAM worldwide is that Julie Andem have been creating these kinds of web dramas for a decade, back in 2008 she created a series that I watched as a kid but the characters were a little bit younger so it was more open for a younger audience, and then when the show ended in 2010 a new series started which I loved. She has always made web dramas where the characters have social media or you can watch their own blog entries to feel like they are real people.
I'm not a big skam fan but I hope she'll make more series like this so people can enjoy :)

I remember when I wanted to watch SKAM for the first time, it wasn't avalible with czech subtitles and I watched it with english subtitles and a translator. That made the experience super unique and unforgetable❤️

discussing things like "Who is Julian Dahl," the fact that they used fan artwork for some scenes, stuff like that is so fun to discuss.

I’m so glad I found this video…4 years later. I originally discovered Skam Belgium aka wtFock back in 2019 then I went down the Skam rabbit hole and discovered there were so many remakes. I wish the shows were still around, they were awesome. wtFock is my favourite #Zoenne. Thanks for sharing this background info.

The Norwegian version was the first version I watched around almost 3 years ago, I didn't feel the need to watch another version because I love the Norwegian version so much . I don't think I'm ready to move on

Here in 2023 because I'm writing my dissertation about skam. I've been a fan of the show since 2016 and i remember how i asked my teacher to go to the bathroom everytime a new clip was dropped hahaha (even if i couldn't understand anything since i'm italian). Never watched a remake, the OG is always the OG. Thank you for the video!

Great job on the video, you handled the information very well! As for me, season 3 was what introduced me to Skam, and seeing that relationship was so heartwarming for me, it felt authentic too as i've dealt with similar situations (Lucas and Elliott in Skam France touched my soul lol). But Season 4 is where i fell in love with Skam. The dipiction of Sana really called out to me, as she was the first person depicted in a more mainstream media that i could relate with in such a way. Hope to see more videos from you soon! If not about SKAM, covering other medias (TV series, Movies, Novels, etc) with similar topics would be awesome too, as it would let people like me find more characters that represents our voices.

I discovered the Skam Universe just on 2 weeks ago (the Belgian Skam called Wtfock showed up randomly on my instagram) And was IMMEDIATELY obsessed. 😬🙂 So much so that I hunted down translated versions of all the Remakes - So out of all 8 Skam Universes I only have 2 seasons of Druck (German Skam) and the French version left to watch 😬 I LOVE the Skam Universe and will forever be in love with it. 💛💛💛
