Hi there....Nice to see another fellow Canadian on flosstube. I also do not have a local LNS close by and it does make stitching harder, but we seem to manage.
You mentioned that you were in Ontario and went to a shop in Woodbridge, there is one in London and another by the name of Gitta's, I think it is in Oakville.
I am in the Niagara Peninsula so the drive is over an hour for either.

Just found your Flosstube videos and am binge watching you! I love all your projects! I want to buy and stitch all the Quakers now! They are amazing. The Quaker you bought from Dyeing To Stitch would look lovely in The Thread Gatherer colorway called “In The Burgundy”. I am going to use it on a red sampler I am hoping to start soon. I love that you use mostly 32 count with 2 threads. Yes, the coverage is amazing!! You are so fun to watch and your energy level is wonderful! So excited for you and all the projects you are working on and will start soon!! I am a knitter as well, but have mostly been working on my xstitch projects. Thanks for being on Flosstube.

Just found your channel and love your enthusiasm. I also enjoy stitching Quakers and am doing my second one now. The first was Fox and Rabbit’s Friends and Family, which I did in reds. The one I’m doing now is Sampler Oaks by HappyMoodPoint. I’ve done around 6 pages of the 15, wanted to finish it this month but have had to frog a whole lot plus I’m not a fast stitcher. Since I’m retired I have plenty of stitching time but still don’t stitch as fast as I used to 😔.
It’s so good to see young people enthused about stitching! I will go and catch up with more of your videos.

I recently found your channel and am binge watching. I am really thinking I need a wall of Quaker samplers now! I so appreciate your enthusiasm for stitching. I am 64 and have been stitching, sewing, quilting and knitting for almost 50 years. For me it is exciting to see a young professional want to spend so much time doing handwork. Keep up the good work.

Hello from Red Deer, Alberta. I have a suggestion for your "Once upon a time". If you went with Lil Red it would tie in nicely with the 3 lil pigs you already stitched. It would also be one space less than the word November and would fill the large area that you are worried about. Regardless of what you go with it all looks wonderful and I'm in awe of all the work you had to do to factor in the new wording. Take care.

You are just as cute as can be! You remind me so much of my granddaughter. She went to SMU in Halifax for 1 year then back home to NB and finished in Fredericton at STU. She looks like you, long hair like you, talks like you and big smile like you! I love all your stitching projects but I am simply smitten by Black Lace Sampler. Did you buy it in Canada? I feel your pain about not having a LNS. I lived in NB for the last 45 years and just recently moved back to Ontario and I have also gotten hooked on Of The Grid Needleworks with Caroline. I think her LNS may be the closest to me which is about a 2 hour drive, but that is doable. I am looking forward to-your knitting projects as well. Keep up the good work!

Your Schoolhouse Quaker looks AMAZING!! It's been on my wish list for quite a while. I definitely need to buy that chart sooner rather than later. I loved all the Little House books when I was a little girl, too! I read them at least twice per year all through my late elementary and junior high years. 🙂Our birthdays must be pretty close. Mine was on the 17th and I took a vacation day that day as well because I also believe people shouldn't be expected to work on their birthday. 😂I made sure to get all of my market pre-orders in by the 29th so I could use the "birthday month" excuse, too. I'm technically supposed to be on a stitch from stash challenge, but ... birthday! 🎉🎂Girl, we can totally be friends!! Between our shared love of all things Quaker and Apple, we were clearly meant to be friends. 😘

I just found you after a very nice recommendation from Georgia girl...you are both delightful to watch!! I am also a Quaker mama...love any kind of Quaker!! I purchased Schoolhouse sampler a few weeks ago and going to start her for Maynia!! I am a retired school teacher so....! I am more of a BLUE and green sampler girl...so I started Quaker Friendship on Butter by Hand-dyed Happiness and using a green Silks 4u! I'll try and send a pic! HAPPY STITCHING TODAY AND EVERYDAY IN 2020!!

I just bought the same DVD set! I had a few of the issues but there were several with samplers I love tucked away - can't wait to choose one to start! Also - I apparently am going to have to do a red Quaker. My husband walked through the room and made a point of telling me how much he loved the red Long Dog you're working on because he really likes the red. Ok ok, I can take a hint!

I think that's why I love Quakers so much! And we are unsure - I am in Nova Scotia for the next few years to finish up my training. He'll either be moving here or we'll be long-distance for a bit longer until I'm done!

Okay, so I have heard several flosstubers talking about “stash unload” on eBay. What is the secret to finding this secret place? When I enter stash unload in the search bar I get almost nothing related to cross stitch. Please teach me your ways.

I didn't have to pay duty - thank goodness! And I hadn't heard of Nikki before! But she is super close to me (about 20 min away) - definitely going to check her out for my next haul purchase (trying to be good this month lol)
Xstitchmd yea I don’t order from states cos heard some wicked horror stories but then also some that don’t pay. Also, do you know about nova scotia cross stitchers group in fb and that we meet in church basement in Dartmouth. A great group. I go once a month as I have to travel in but a fun group! Oh an because you count in Moncton they don’t have website but great ladies call ask and it’s sent. (They have more types floss than nikki I think) but yes they are super and only charge reg postage. So can see online call ask and they will do their best.

I always say that I’m constantly thinking at work and this is my reward for “unplugging my mind” 🤔
