Excellent vlog from Andy and his two apprentices. Seriously though, some great tips especially the ones concerning being in the rough and putting. Cheers
Great short video, I didn’t think you gents could keep it serious after the excellent videos that have been coming out recently. Fantastic watching when you meet up
I think #4 and #5 are the most important. Remember 17 bogeys and 1 par is 89 (par 72) so the closer you can chip that 3rd shot the better chance you have for a par; happen to get on the green in 2, the closer you get that first putt the better chance of making that par.
I would still take accuracy over distance off the tee for a mid handicap player. Getting badly out of position off the tee can EASILY cost 2 strokes on a hole. Being 30 yards shorter but in the fairway isn’t going to do that. As you get better at recovery shots the distance starts becoming more valuable.
Yeah its different for everyone. 30 yards shorter means 3 extra clubs which is more high risk. I think 30 yards shorter for the very patient golfer who plots their way through 18 holes is ok. (They are a rare breed)
@@andycartergolf I think accuracy and getting better inside 100yds is massively more important than 30yds off the tee; pretty sure data backs me up on this as well. Remember you're talking about a player trying to break 90, not 80 or getting to single digit handicap.
Way to throttle The Boys at Formby Lady. That was ground under repair btw. Those fellas are cut-throat. 😂 Solid advice here, thanks gents. As I’m able to hit balls for the first time in a month, I had to rely on one of your tips today. Worked like a charm and allowed me to fix several things. After my last round I could barely walk for a week. Then two weeks of procedures on me back, followed by a week of recovery. My swing terrible as expected. Muscle loss from all of my “goings on” don’t help. But I hit about 35 full swings yesterday and about 60 today. Today was better than yesterday, so we’re on the right track. The tip from you that I remembered was Shoulder Tilt with Driver. I was so peeved at myself I needed to bash something hard. I tried your tip and it worked like a charm from swing one. That allowed me to realize all of the other crap I was doing because of the longer swing. I owe you another thanks Andy. Thanks. 🥂
For me golf is purely a mental, subconscious struggle...I can now putt, I can chip, but my tee shots and iron shots from fairway are monstrously bad if I am playing in a fourball. Go out on a round on my own I can hit a driver straight 200 yards, 6 iron about 135, chip and two putts. Get me with people I don't know and it turns into a nightmare. Great tips but some videos on the mental game would be good.

Well done Carter, they both got what they deserved. They made you play out of the GUR so they need to stop crying 😂🙌
200 yards…normally that’s a 8 Iron for me 😂.
Where’s Rick?
He was busy!
When you say special. You mean "my name is Jeff" special right😂. When is the "I fixed Rick's short game video" this could vault you to #1 guru status😂
