I have test ridden this bike 2 days back and jawa has done a really good job with these updates over the old model. Keeping RE emotion aside, choosing this bike over RE Hunter is a better choice any given day.

I have this bike. I ride it daily to my office approx distance of 40 km. Bike is awesome. No hitting issue after second service. Derived it at speed of 126kmph. Went for 650km trip to Tehri Dam. I really enjoyed the ride. There is no vibration at higher speed. Torque is awesome. Very high pickup like a rocket. You can easily overtake any vehicle. Very good look and awesome balance. Leck in milaga, in cities it gives 25 kmpl on highway you can get upto 31kmpl. Best part is its handling you can easily turn it arround the corners. Not good for long tour due to stiffer seat. Little bit lack in suspension in rear. Not much comfortable in lower Handel. Bike runs smoothly after 4th gear and above speed of 40kmph. Sitting position is very comfortable. I laso had an accident at speed of 70kmph , nothing happened to the bike. I was safe as well. Before purchasing this bike I was considering CB200, HUNTER, METEOR, but I choose jawa 42 because of it high power and torque, handling and radiator. Ground clearance is little bit low, always have eyes on brakers. Go ahead buy this bike you will fill like you are riding a heavy rocket. Best of luck🤞. Alsi I am considering to buy Ronin for city riding.
Very accurate explanation , I have been riding jawa 42 for 2 years now and it is exactly what you said..once someone buy this bike they will never like to ride other bikes ,and on this new 2024 varient they have increased ground clearance by raising suspension travel.

Perfect explanation! If you want a showstopper machine and powerful cruiser bike go for Jawa and If you want a relaxed feel and common cruiser go for RE.
Other bikes of same segment like Hunter350, Ronin etc are 30k less. And Yezdi Roadster is just 8k more to which jawa 42 doesnt stand a chance. There is no way people going to buy it in 2.3 lacs on road. Jawa got to reduce jawa 42 price to 2 lakhs on road. Otherwise, it will always remain an underrated bike.

Everything is costly when it comes to jawa and yezdi bikes . Should not buy it if there are no showroom in ur hometown or city. Better to go for some other bikes.
The problem is jawa's after sale service. In most of the places, they are not professional as per the reviews I have seen and of course, higher part accessories cost.
Sir I still using mojo 300 ug one....mere hisaab se ek machine ko hummye samjan chayiye ki vo kaisa hai na ki machine ko hummye.... so I know very well my machine (mojo300) no one had such a hug petrol tank ,great stability in high speed and most of all breaking damn good ...for touring a perfact bike .....
Even in the new Yezdi Roadster people are facing the same issues..! I got in touch with a person who owns a Roadster and he mentioned about all these things, but along with that I can tell you the solutions for these...Rusting happened with the footrest but they used the anti rust coating and they haven't faced any rust related issues after that. Overheating can be handled by changing to high performance coolant. It is costly and increases total service cost by 2k. If you rev the bike on 50-70kmph speed and 2500-4000 rpm then you will not face overheating. After free services you can change to hight performance coolant. RPM fluctuation, engine stalling issues people face a lot. And it's an ecu problem. Changing the ecu under warranty will sort all these 3 things. So it's risky and it depends you want to take risk or not but yeah there are ways that you need to learn if you are taking risk, to keep the bike in good condition. Every bike has it's own problem like paint chipping off, vibrations, low power if you are unlucky you might face it. Rest I just wish Yezdi correct their mistakes other than that it's a powerful bike.👍
How right you are about the engine and gear shifts! I own one and it behaves exactly how you described. It is really very tiring to get involved all the time. I feel a bike/car should do what a rider wants it to do and not vice versa.
classic legend ppl could have introduced the goldstar at 3.00 lakh and would have dominated the segment which is some 4000 units per month but they continue to work their ass off to revive the jawa yezdi bikes which appeal only to selct few due to lack of finish quality and engine fun😮😢😢
I ride a Honda Rebel 500 (abroad), and as far as looks go, this honestly looks a more premium than a Rebel, and better than any RE models. The design is so clean, and because the headlamp, front mudguard, rear, and keyed storage are all colored - it feels expensive. Amazing price point and value for under 2 Lakhs. Only things I would change: 1. I wish there was a forward-mid controls instead of mid-rear (as I'm tall and it hurts the knees, you could of course sit further back on the seat in this case). 2. I like caved / oyster seats, because of how stable and grounded you feel it it. 3. wish the instrument cluster was centered - the asymmetry bothers me. 4. LED headlamps like the Rebel 500. (subjective, it's brighter and looks more modern). 5. And lastly I wish this was offered in the 500-650cc power range. This is the only part that leaves me yearning. Even my 500 feels a bit lacking on highways.. and with India's traffic, having to stop, go... lower CC generally means more shifting. I saw the mods / gear on their website, and there's so many offerings, various saddlebags, holders, crash guards, tank grips, luggage racks etc. Great bike, and great review. :)
why can't the company eliminate that whistling sound from the engine after so many years, its very annoying and there is still a lot of shuttering noise from the engine when you revved it from 3rd gear at not so low speed . The real problem is the choice of engine the company made its a short stroke engine and these types lack feel and character of a long stroke motor. Jawa/yezdi were long stroke engines with great cruising ability even better than enfields sold back then, i can tell because i had a yezdi CL-II all my college life which i choose over an enfield , yezdi felt more nimble and agile over the enfield but still had a lot of feel and character . The big bore, liquid cooled, high revving engines does not fit the classic theme they just are the opposite.

In arunachal pradesh java showroom are closed ( band ) to fast district to district For example Pasighat , Itanagar because of bike overheating an rusting problem and now 😢 the mean serious problem is people's who purchased from this district pasighat showroom an itanagar showroom now not getting servicing due to showroom band . I'm one of them .i purchased my Yezdi Roadster from itanagar java Yezdi showroom. Now day I have to go servicing my Yezdi Roadster at Tinsukia showroom 💔 it's too far for us now I keep getting regard to buy this bike 🥲 Tinsukia showroom staff members are no good because the mechanical work man didn't give me servicing fees receipt 🤨 i keep asking for servicing fees receipt but that mechanical workman keep saying he will entry later, bike servicing process in system, and then he said you go back he will call back me later but he didn't call back me 🤬 WTF system is this??? Anyone explain me ? Did this ever happen to you ?

By the way didn't you felt uncomfortable with that dimple on fuel tanks bcz many tall riders said it's bit irritating as the grip is not fitting and the knee strikes with tank extension
