Try mixing the flour softert dont press on it when you are mixing an dafter putting the dall filling leave it for about 5-8 minutes before you roll it out

I've never tried with chick peas but it will be the same concept. Boil until tender not to soft. Process / grind and follow the steps as in this video.

Ok…. I have wasted anywhere from 10 -20 pounds of flour over the years trying to make these without a single puff! I always end up with a giant hard biscuit in the end that I throw out. I am going to try your recipe and say a prayer!
