  • Diversity is the key to the "Get A Life" podcast's success. Persons who escape from the "penguin colony" uniformity of the PBCC radiate out colorfully in all directions as their real self emerges from the mold. Meet John Beresford and his sister, Ruth Beresford. Born in St. Austell, Cornwall, in the extreme rural southwest corner of the UK, they were cruelly cast out at a young age and left to fend for themselves. This podcast is an extraordinary story of both tragedy and joy as these siblings found their feet in the real world. Former members from the UK will know many of the persons who play a part in this story, including the notoriously fishy Caleb Furse, and the dashing bachelor, Kenny Barltrop. We hope you enjoy listening to this podcast as much as we enjoyed making it!

There is a whole lot of psychological & physical abuse what's being sanctioned to happen within religion. And the fact is that the psychological abuse is still absolutely as harmful to human health and wellbeing as what the physical abuse is. Both the physical abuse, and psychological abuse as well too, when taken to extremes, can still end up becoming life threatening. I personally have come to conclude that perhaps the best approach there'd be for us to seek justice and to help to actually put and end to these faith abuses would be focus to begin to focus far more on the health and wellbeing side of the debate surrounding the faith abuse problem of which is actually far more common than what people would like to believe it is. Its just that the faith abuse is happening to a number of different degree, and so it's mainly only being noticed, easily enough, whenever it gets to these extreme degrees of abuse. For instance, the people will not be looking upon the Catholic church in the same way as they might when looking upon the brethren, and yet it's now well documented about how much abuse has been covered up within Catholic church, and especially with regard to sexual abuses. What's more, the fact that faith abuse has been sanctioned enough so as to become common, the result of this is that we are perhaps wasting time if we'd be approaching the protest for change, from a moral point of view, such as to question "the justice" of the faith abuse, or the righteousness of this or that. Religion + governments, together, have long been sanctioning immense injustices and pure wickedness. Even unto the extent of condoning the rampant decimation of people's families during times of colonization. Plus burning of people at the stake and so forth. My point is this, justice and righteousness are not necessarily closely related to religion. Perhaps never has been either. So, this is also related to reason why we feel as if our protests are falling on deaf ear. So, in my view, i suspect that a far better approach might be for us to focus far more on the question of human health and wellbeing. Which is the health issue, as opposed to being about a moral issue. However human requirement for proper care for health and wellbeing, is still indirectly related to moral. The moral question of whether human's health and wellbeing should need to be a concern of the government, or not. While our governments might find it easy to fob off protest related to "the morality" of faith abuses, being as its long been traditional for the governments to easily get away with doing. When the protest relates to question of human health and wellbeing, then the situation automatically becomes far harder for government to be fobbing off. We need to accept that religion and righteous have always been so far removed from religion and government that its absolutely near impossible that we should hope for change of the type to create any substantial differences with regard to faith abuses. However, when an issue would concern the requirement for human health and wellbeing, then this isa whole different kettle of fish. As or governments will be hard pushed to dismiss and fob off the concern related to this question. Why should anyone need to be attempting to make an escape?. This is not the answer. The answer is the the health and wellbeing of ALL citizens should be taken care of enough, by governments, so that human are then not EVER being caused to need to try to attempt to escape. Last but not least, i'd like to say i'm so happy to hear the Berresfords story and to know that they have survived and are happy enough and ok. But im very sad to hear of the abuse they'd experienced. It should never happen. Certainly not when God has been used as a ticket for freedom of abusing children. Thats terrible. I suspect that, again, there's very likely to be some intergeneration traumas playing a role in these complex situations what develop. Good on the Beresford's for letting the cat out of the bag 💜

@@carmandrever9443 no. You are doing great, i feel. Really enjoy your videos. Great teamwork too!. However, i just enquired as there's either someone who's been censoring certain comments, which can sometimes be people employed to control our freedom of speech, on social media, especially when governments (behind the scenes) may be feeling worried, a bit, about the question of their own negligence. And their own part they've perhaps played, simply by failing to intervene. Or perhaps it's the AI (artificial intelligence) what has been set to censor and remove certain comments that governments won't want to be expressed publicly, too much. Or too openly. Or otherwise perhaps some comments might be sent to spam folder, if there is one of those.

@@carmandrever9443 in short, social media, technician i think they are called in their job they do, may do what's known as shadow banning. You can find info about shadow banning online. Liz Gregory from Gloriavale leavers and i had both witness it to occur, one time, in real time. When we were both online, watching, when we both saw a comment, then next moment it was gone in a flash. And Liz had even remarked about how there was absolutely nothing wrong with anything what had been said in this comment that was being shadow banned. So, while we can share info easier now online, there's still these other murky ways for other interested parties to step in to censor. Sounds a bit too much like 1984 (the novel), i know, but i'm just being straight up.

@@paulmasonsjazz9611hi Paul. I had share a link to another you tube video what id felt was related to the topic. But anyway, ive come to see that our government are siding with the cults. And what's more, they have long been doing so as well too. I suspect they'd see the cults ways of being about to subjugate the cult following as being something that these governments would also dearly love to be able to do to the whole lot of us humans. Governments really couldn't care less about how we have suffered abuses. They care most of all about the money that the cults can help societies to generate. I have preferred "to disbelieve" that our governments would ever be likely to act in this way. I have been someone who's long been dubious as to claims made, by many others, in relation to government conspiracy and corruption in this way. However, ive now been forced to change my mind and o open my eyes up to possibility of this being for real. Ive seen it being said that we could all end up to be ruled over, and dominated, in the similar way like in the film 1984. I had previously believed this to be completely unlikely. However, i now no longer do. I know this, our government is feeling afraid that us ex cult members might turn toward suing our governments, for the government's own acts of neglect, from point of the "health and safety" angle of this whole situation. Which would be for us to move away from arguing over the morals of the abuse angle, to arguing from angle of human health and safety aspect of "human rights". Which governments will know, full well, they'd be unable to be allowed to continue to overlook?. Unlike moral issue of the cult abuse, which government can simply overlook by mentioning the same old tried and trusted bullshit line about religious liberty. I sense that we really need to move toward arguing from the perspective of our health and safety needs and requirement. As this is the angle what the governments would all fail to be able to turn a blind eye to, so as to deny us our right
