On the last day of swimming in the Olympics, the Australians picked up major medals here. Well done guys you done us proud. To the rivalry between Titmus and Ledecky, nothing but respect between those two champions from different nations. Hopefully we see it one more time in Los Angeles. Well Done ladies.
Bloody oath mate! We're a proud sporting nation, we're a great sporting nation & not just at the Olympics but in other international sports that aren't in the Olympics. Last year our netballers the Diamonds won the netball world cup l in South Africa, our women's cricket team (who i believe is the best international sporting team in Australia) won the T/20 world cup also in South Africa. Our men's international cricket team won the ODI world cup in India against India causing a major upset with an estimated 93,000 Indian crowd with an estimated 300 million watching on the telly. The Matilda's nearly making the World cup final here in Straya then individual sportsmen & women winning world championships all over the joint. Sport is the most important thing in our Great Southern Land 🇦🇺 & our athletes make us feel even more prouder of being an Aussie. We're the "lucky country", sport is in our DNA & we bleed green & gold.
The two hardest and slowest legs of the mixed medley relay (backstroke and breaststroke) should be swum by the men and this what the US and China did. No surprise they finished first and second. Australia swam Kaylee McKeown in the backstroke leg, but even the best female backstroker in the world makes no sense in this event- you want the men in for longer and the women in for the shortest possible time (ie butterfly and freestyle).
Australia with a population of only 26 million winning all these gold medals (NOT shown!) ...... fancy if we had the population base like that of the USA or China we wound be 1st in the medal count by far.
Why has the backstroke leg of all medley races changed? It used to be first style in the race and the swimmer started in the pool tool … so why change this when it was perfectly fine.

youre thinking of the medley relay, where the 1st person has to be the backstroker since every sequential swimmer has to jump off the blocks.
