I don't think Lulu is asserting dominance when he's grooming. He's just showing lots of love. It feels like he is unaware that grooming is asserting dominance. Genetically speaking, Lulu is the weaker cat and I'm sure he knows it, he hasn't won a fight yet, he's always surprised that he was attacked from excessive grooming and is not aggressive like Momo or TT. If you've seen videos of Lulu and Momo or Lulu and TT you will know that he loves cuddling up to them, belly upwards sometimes. If a cat is asserting dominance, he/she would not let others groom him/her. But Lulu doesn't react that way whenever the other cats groom him. I think Lulu is just like a little bratty brother, who loves to snatch other's food, is really loud and LOVES attention. But nevertheless, he loves his family and yet gets on their nerves without a clue as to why.
