  • Join us in watching a snapshot of the glory days of Australian #Showground Speedway in the 1960's called Bryan Cunneen The #Linklater Era, where we pay homage to one of the legends from the era Bryan Cunneen, the driver, and also Max Linklater who owned and built the ORIGINAL beautiful car!! We also take a visit to Shane who owns a replica /tribute of the #55 Max Linklater owned Holden powered #Speedcar that Bryan raced way back in those glory days! Also we were thrilled to talk to Alan who as a bright eyed teenager helped with the car during this period! He has a couple of stories to tell! Please LIKE,,SHARE, AND SUBSCRIBE to our channel! Hope you enjoy the video!
Please watch for more to come!

Just my opinion, but for what it's worth, I have seen the beautifully restored Stewart Trackburner up close and after viewing Alan Steele's slot car model of the same car in this video, it looks closer to the original than the real car!! The other Alan Steele midgets in this video look unbelievably good as well, like to see more of them. What a talent, great work Alan.

Thank you for your input. Well, we might just have to get Alan back on to show some of his beautiful slot car/ models! He does brilliant work!

My great friend from High School, Alan Steele. His connection with the #55 Linklater car has stayed with him for life. IMHO I rate it as one of the most beautiful and consistently well presented midget speedcars of its time.
Thankfully he didn't relate the story of our dabblings with the Mighty BSA Bantam. 😆😅🤣😂

Oh thank you Dylan, for sharing your story about Alan, I have been chatting to Alan in messages etc for a while,, and with technology (zoom) we finally met up! Alan is such a nice bloke, he went out of his way to help us work this Zoom call stuff out, and we appreciate it 100%!
Yes the Linklater was surely a standout of the speedcars along with the Trackburner from the era! Thank you for your comment and we hope you enjoyed our video!

I was 3, Im wondering ,you mentioned Liverpool! There was a club movie night, the movie was people sitting on the road and advanced frame for frame like they were driving, spinning wheels crashing with all the sound effects and it was funnier than a nun wearing the popes silly hat! Just trying to get the title of it, if you or ayone else is remembering that, cheers.
