- Former High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ajay Bisaria on January 09 revealed some untold secrets of return of then Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman from Pakistan. He said, “After Pulwama, India had taken action in Balakot, and that was followed by Pakistan's operation, which it called swift retort in India and as a result of which, an Indian pilot, Abhinandan, was captured. I've tried to present an account of the coercive diplomacy that took place after that, to get the pilot back. There was a very credible threat of force and use of nine missiles...Pakistan made the choice of returning the pilot, not wanting to escalate that conflict. In trying to de-escalate the situation, the Prime Minister of Pakistan attempted to call the Prime Minister of India. The Pakistani PM was then felt obliged to take a decision because the threat of force was very credible to return the pilot in order not to escalate the situation.”

Congress govt. at the time actually thought that they could use the swift action on khalistan issue to gather votes and support from punjab and thus they first let the issue grow and even supported the then head of khalistani movement, thinking that they would be able to get rid of him and the movement but then he and the movement got too big for them which resulted in a huge amount of destruction.
Even then the congress govt. did not take immediate action and only took it when they thought would help them politically.

WE HAD OPPORTUNITY IN 1971 TO GET BACK POK GILGIT BAĹTISTAN.
we had the opportunity also to take parts of Bangladesh like bulwarking the chicken neck, creating a buffer around the Calcutta corridor etc. In 1947 we had beaten back the kabalis and could easily have marched into Muzafarabad. In 1951 we had the opportunity to be part of the UN with veto powers, we had the opportunity to take Balochistan after 1947 when they begged us for protection against Porkis. Pakistan annexed them in 1948. We marched into Lahore scot free in 1965 and retreated unconditionally. We could have buffered our NW with some of that territory. We could have integrated Nepal into the union just like Sikkim and thus prevented Chinese intrusion as is happening today. We could have done many things better.

Two flaws of this video:
1. Interviewer was not in the frame and it looks odd when a question is asked from background.
2. The interviewer is sometimes fumbling and what he is asking is not very clear till one attentively listens him.
In contrast, interviewee speech was Crystal clear.
Even college TH-camrs would do better interviewing - by asking better questions, articulating them well, speaking clearly like the officer, doing good homework & knowing designations & names of people being spoken about, etc. But wonder why ANI & most other Govt. agencies have poorly qualified people - the security of a cushy Govt. job that even an all powerful PM will not be able to take away makes these Govt. employees do their job in a casual manner.

Seems like no one is understanding that Indian PM to win election he was ready to go to war, and to do so he ignored the calls from Pak PM, but when Pak took the route to announce it to the world that they will return the pilot, Indian PM(and his media) took the route that they got him back!
Please do Interview in hindi so it reaches to billions of bharitya ..
India only has 1.4 billion people and a good chunk don’t speak or want to listen in Hindi.

Understand respect all language but south part of bharat dont know hindi or dont want to Listen in hindi. But major understands English right .. subtile english Main in hindi makes sense.this is national concern Interview so it must be understandable to larger audiance.
