It's PSR rules, more specifically. All European clubs have to adhere to FFP rules, but PSR (profit and sustainability rules) are only applied to Premier League clubs, currently. It's the PSR rules which are pushing clubs towards selling homegrown players for pure profit.

I think there should be wage cap on players age and ability. Tho would be slightly challenging would make sense. That would also see every player then choose club based on club alone / manager rather then I play for them cuz they double or triple wages.
