What’s up, Squad! Hope you found this helpful before you purchase it. A lot of people don’t talk about the bad. Still a good trimmer if you overlook the bad stuff.
Yeah i have the gold pair and mines will do the same thing when i turn it off and click it back on and sometimes it would not click on. But when balding out no problem.
Ok the machine uses brushless motors this is the reason for the delay when turning on and this is for all devices that use those motors. As for the failure in turning on simply a bad contact if its wide spread it would indicate a design flaw by manufacturer
I have the Gold FX and I think it gets louder with hair build up throughout cuts. I don't use them for bulk removal but I think the 2.0 blade is the reason your having issues for bulk. Yes they do pull hair but rarely and that's due to the sharpness and how fine the teeth are. I definitely like them more that corded Outliners, they get so much closer and put down sharper lines without irritating the skin plus I don't have to skeleton them myself 😂
Yeah i wouldnt use them for bulk honestly. You going to clog the blades up and put a lot of stress on the trimmer. These trimmers are for straight lines and designs i dont even use them for beard work honestly. I use a different set of trimmers that dont pull hair.
I dropped my T-Outliners and broke the switch, I can’t find a replacement switch or fix it and it’s time for new blades on it. Been using T-Outliners for over 20 years so with mine breaking I decided to look into these. This is exactly the comparison video I was looking for and you did it so well and SO thoroughly, good job thanks for it.
The delay is because of the brushless motor it supposed to save the life of the motor... my fx influencer does that some times. The andis cordless t outliners to it as well and even some of my whal cordless clippers have done it, hope these companies figure it out.
Also, all the FX clippers and trimmers have the delay issue. I’m literally the same way with flipping the trimmer on and off hahaha but from what i understand, this may or may not be 100% true I don’t work for babyliss so i have no idea, but the FX line has an internal computer to start it up instead of electricity. Not sure how that may or may not affect things, but yeah
If you're having trouble balding out with these, get the deep tooth blade, it can handle more hair. And honestly I wouldn't even use them for balding as it will ware then down alot faster. Use them for crisp lines and edging
Before purchasing the clippers, I watched this TH-cam review and he stated that he had problems with it randomly not turning on or a delay in turning them on. I ignored this review and purchased them anyway. After a few uses and within 2 months, my device is doing the same thing, but mine sometimes will not turn on until I plug them in! I contacted the warranty department and was told it was going to take 7 days just to send me a return label via email! Once I send it back, it will take another 4-5 weeks for them to send the replacement!
I had to send the rose clippers back for warranty and they sent me a whole new box brand new with more guards and charger. So if anyone wanders they took care of me with the warranty.
Excellent review. As a fellow corded t,outliner guy myself, been on the hunt for a cordless trimmer to compare because the cordless t,outliners have disappointed me for the past year and half. Trying the Renpho trimmer for the past month with my modification of there top(standing) blade by filing it down to 0,gap it, as it’s not adjustable and I hate the detailed blade(too loud) everyone is swapping it out for. When I perfect the mod I’ll post a video on my channel. New to this you-tuber thing but been cutting for some time. I would appreciate your comment on my first review as it kinda attack what looks like your favorite clipper(Andis masters) lol. Again excellent review, I am learning more about TH-cam from people like yourself ok
The Babyliss clippers and trimmers are very nice. The cons are that there is no diy replacement parts like Wahls,Oster,Andis have. Babyliss has one year warranty, which I have returned my clippers and trimmers no problem. But after one year warranty that’s it!
The clipper doesn't turn on sometimes because the poles on the battery inside stop making contact the springs. You habe to strech those springs a little bit.
If you do not charge the battery completely full before you cut it on for the 1st time like it says , it will have glitches like not turning on and off when you hit the switch !
The Babyliss 2.0 blade's teeth are longer than their standard blade. The standard blades hits lines crisper. I also use my Wahl balding clipper to remove bulk. My customers say they feel smoother than a 00000 blade.
I have both (UK Versions). Imo Andis T outliner just hits differently when shaping up African hair, especially the hairline shape ups. But for other types of hair and tasks like beard work and outlining between the neck and ears, I prefer the Babyliss skeletons.
The Graphite 2.0 blade is the “deep tooth” blade. The original gold fx came with the fine tooth so for me, that’s why it people say the gold one hits harder. It’s basically the Andis GTO(silver t outliner) on the gold fx and the GTX(black t outliner).
Facts. I stay going back to my Andis Outliners. I cant find a cordless trimmer to fully replace it. I also have the modified Slim Lines, they’re nice and convenient, but you can’t replace the cord....’
The pro FX 870s does the same thing. It's like it misfires. And I've heard from other owners it does the same thing. It's my absolute favorite Clipper but there are some reliabity issue's with babyliss products. Favorite until I recieve my cordless master's in the mail. Woot woot!
It is louder because of the spring, it hits the screws, just try to make the shape of the spring like more inside, to not hit the screws. You are welcome!
I’m happy with my gold fx but I need the blade to hit thinner and crisper if possible so I just purchased the first graphite blade fx707b fine tooth just to see if it hits better than the graphite 2.0.
I wish they could put a lever on a trimmer similar to the ones on a senior or masters that could go straight to zero gap and would be able to back off for kids and old people or sensitive skin types
My fellow barber in my shop had a similar issue with his gen 1 silver FX not turning on so I grabbed them and simply put oil in the blade and they fired right up and stopped acting up. As a professional I’m assuming you have oiled them when that was happening but this is just something I’ve come across. He was mid cut and they just refused to turn on until I put a few drops of oil.
You and I have a similar line up with clippers and trimmers. i been following you and it methods and that have been working for me and I love envy clippers with the single mag purple guards and the silver fx have been working good for me the deep tooth blade is good for removing bulk
Thanks, I ordered the Silver FX's just so that I can update my arsenal, I have been using the Whal Detailers but they keep dying on me. Not sure what's up with that. They make this poping noise like they have a short in them and die. I am hoping that I can get the same or better experience with the Babyliss FX's
Which motor do u have there different tyoes of motors on them like the trimmers are 7g the stringest motor so if h have an o ,s, rg lower viltage motoers thats why some are expensive and sum are not
Can you recommend a good good pair of clippers it trimmers to bald out. I have straight, course hair on my head and face. Need a good set for home use. Help !
I’ve been cutting my own hair on and off since I was a teenager and don’t really know too much lingo when it comes to terms like “Zero Gap” What does that mean? Making the blade closer to the guide so it cuts more efficient/ agressive ? I gotta get me a pair of T- Outliners. Right now I’m just using my Shavette but I’d like to use a trimmer first b4 I make it crispy with my shavette
Glad I found your channel. Pretty in depth and informative product review. I almost pulled the trigger before watching this. I have sensitive skin so I use electric trimmers for shaving. But I as well keep going back to Andis T-outliners. But still looking for a solid cordless option. I'd like to ask your opinion on the best trimmers for this purpose. I'm a black male btw. Great video also.
I guess just like everything in life is product that you take out the bags are going to be as good as they were put together and the parts that are in them. I was fortunate enough to get the gold FX and they can take both down no problem. I don’t snag in here. Emily crispy lines. Again I must’ve just gotten very lucky. And sometimes the more cool care of you spray on it it just allows the motor to free up a little bit and sliders or so it will be 10 to get louder.
Gold is better for shorter hair and bulk silver for grabbing longer hairs but not for bulk. Nothing will replace the tliners But you haven’t broken the fx blades in either so I’d say give em some time
I have the golds and they remove bulk like a beast but honestly id rather not put a lot of stress on em. Just use a detachable or clipper to remove the bulk. The skeletons are meant for line ups and straight lines. And they do that better than any trimmer ive ever tried. They hit real hard and you can literally put the blades ontop of eachother if you have a light hand and it doesnt cut or give discomfort to your client. Thats how mine are set. Also if you set them like that i noticed if you use them to do your skin line it actually almost looks like you used a shaver on your client without actually using one. Great for giving small kids the shaver look without using one.
@@Mike-hy8cs it seems like only me and u know how to set theses trimmer I have the gold and the chameleon collection I can make the deeptooth hit just like the standard blade stay safe bro
Good review. I sell appliances and most companies that offer better warranties feel that since their product is superior, they are willing to offer longer coverage. Consumers love that!
I have to tell you they are definitely not better than the gold fx trimmers.. why? Because the Gold Fx trimmers have a titanium blade, and these silver fx have a graphite blade, they are made for the trimmers not to get hot and stay cool..maybe I sound crazy but you can definitely get a better line, kill bulk and shave hair with the gold titanium blade.. yes of course not deep tooth like the graphite blade but I can definitely feel the difference.. you should give it a try you will then never pick up your Toutliners. I have both and must tell you I drop the silver ones to pick up the gold ones always .. also I've been looking for answers to why they made this graphite blade that's why I'm looking at your video.. I honestly thought the graphite blade will be better but it's a not 🙏 hope this helped

Yeah I have the gold fx and I thought I was tripping!! I think it only happens when you go from on to off really quickly. But they are definitely hitters. And they don’t get hot.

What’s up, Squad! Hope you found this helpful before you purchase it. A lot of people don’t talk about the bad. Still a good trimmer if you overlook the bad stuff.
Thanks for the video. I was wondering what kind of comb guide work with this trimmer?
Babyliss doesn’t come with guards
MMA BARBER LIFE So we can’t use any aftermarket guard with trimmer?
You can try the t outliners trimmer guards. They should fit because blades are similar sizes
@@IDOITTRAVELS Thank You. I will try those then :)
Don’t be using random chargers on it there’s wattages in cords and requirements for clippers also don’t charge them overnight
Yeah i have the gold pair and mines will do the same thing when i turn it off and click it back on and sometimes it would not click on. But when balding out no problem.

That switch delay (and sometimes refusal to power up) is also present in the FX clippers :/
Swizzlecuts the switch delay is it due to being a brushless motor which causes the delay. Just like the Babyliss pro clipper.
Concur. I have experienced this with my rose gold fx.
The blade has to be centered when zero gapping
The delay is because of the brushless motor it supposed to save the life of the motor... my fx influencer does that some times. The andis cordless t outliners to it as well and even some of my whal cordless clippers have done it, hope these companies figure it out.
I have 4 pair. Gold, Silver, Rose Gold and White Gold. I don't have any problems with mines. You the switch does have a delay but it don't bother me.
I don't think I'll ever get rid of my corded t outliners! The new stainless steel gtx blades hit!
Best of you turn it on then off to get the blade in the middle before setting the blade
There’s always a delay with a brushless motor!!!! FYI
Loved your video, Sofie Stay Gold can tell you all about this and she can give you the specs on why graphite difference between gold and silver ect.
The delay is because it’s a brushless motor. Not because there’s something wrong.

I’m happy with my gold fx but I need the blade to hit thinner and crisper if possible so I just purchased the first graphite blade fx707b fine tooth just to see if it hits better than the graphite 2.0.
How did they work out? I’m thinking of doing the same.

The old cordless detailers have that ability. Maybe you can try those.

It does the same in the clipper it’s a piece that you have to remove it’s a video on TH-cam that shows someone doing it on the clipper

Ahhhhhh damn should've watched the recent ones first. Room looks fantastic sir.
But if you spray cool care on wahls andis the get loud as well then the sound goes away

Yup! Zerogap is when you close the gap between the cutting blade and the still blade. Hence the term "zero gap". Zero gap between blades.
For the (noise) you have to oil the blade guide between the blades.
Ryan Stowe where is the blade guide?
Bless. At 10:46 which clipper was tht btw great review bro
Thx! Andis Supra ZR: amzn.to/2EIEYDz
Where do you buy some modified t-outliners? Or do you have to modify it yourself?
You can buy them from someone but it’ll be expensive. You can do it yourself. Depending on what you’re doing, it isn’t too difficult.
whats better in your opnion babyless fx or t outliner cord ??
Depends on what you want out of a trimmer. Corded or cordless! Whatever you pick is the best.
How you clean your t-outliner after every cut
Brush the debris off, spray with cool care, let them sit for 10 min. Easy work

The T Outliners are just fine. This particular pair of cordless trimmers doesn't bald hair out very well.
They’re Dope Bossman for longer hair or bangs but I honestly think 🤔 that my skeleton gold Fx hit way harder in general or on shorter Line ups.
I wasnt happy with my gold fx skeleton trimmer my retro t cut hit harder but there are good at balding out
