Catching The NS Erie Heritage Unit - Homestead, PA *Railfan BOMBS My Shot*. In this video I take a drive down to the Waterfront area of Homestead, PA just outside of Pittsburgh. The Norfolk Southern Erie heritage unit was leading a stack train and made its way through the area on the Mon Line heading to the Conway Railyard. While the train approached the crossing, another railfan went around the crossing gate where it is unsafe to get their shot of the train completely bombing mine in the process. I still salvaged some good shots. I was also fortunate enough to catch it a few days later in the same area. Enjoy.
