I also found a seedling maple in my postage stamp backyard that was growing under the central air unit outside, so I replanted him in the yard. I named him Murphy. That was maybe 10 years ago? He’s now this incredibly tall maple. I think plants do respond to love and care we give them, but I grew up in the country where we walked barefoot in creeks, picked wild mint for tea, took in injured animals until they were well and sent them on their way… What my mom called a country lifestyle I think was more a hippie lifestyle. If you grew up being close to nature, you just know how to be one with it and that these TikTok people are idiots.
