Also it won't form the pocket, it's just laid out flat in this weird blob shape. I've tried over and over and still the same result. Is this just not doable without the stretchy string?
I’ve never tried it with clear string. I know for sure the string needs to stretch so that it pulls into the bell shape, so the string may be the issue. If it’s laid out flat that means it isn’t pulled tight enough.

That was the same place I got stumped and ended up having to start over my progress to retrace my steps-but I figured it out! Basically you’re going to add THREE beads, skip one bead, then thread it into the next one. So you’re following the same pattern as the step before, but instead of adding one bead, skip one, thread… you’re adding three beads, skip one, thread.
I can't do this, and it makes me so mad. I've tried doing it like 5 times without a needle and when I got a bunch the loops were all too big to fit through my beads and I can't figure this out, and it makes me want to have a breakdown (almost have twice) because I know I could do it, so I don't want to buy one, but at the same time I've attempted at least 9 times and I can't do it and omfg I want to jump off a cliff rn--

I used fishing line it was hard but it eventually got to the right shape at the end maybe just hold tighter? My fingers were sore after this lol

Have you ever made kandi cuff or anything that's more flat? If not it may be a little complicated without knowing howing to stitch beads together
