Phew, I get tired just looking at all the work you've made for yourself! Now that I'm retired and pinching my pennies, plus taxiing my 2 Granddaughters to/from school, tending to Mom's ankle wound, I don't get out 'hunting' at will like I used to, it's great to be able to tag along with you as you do your sorting/shopping. School will be out for winter break next week, so I'm hoping to get to the Depot Mall in a neighboring town for a jaunt with my sister. I'll see about taking the Granddaughters along. ---I'm looking forward to updates Lou!
Congratulations on your retirement. It’s funny how busy we become after retirement by taking care of other people. I hope you can get that trip out with your sister. Thanks for all of your support. If you think that is work stay tuned for the next video.
You do an amazing job! I have been junking for most of my life . If you take another road trip to see family in Colorado a good stop would in Grand island Nebraska downtown 3 good antique malls as well as fort Collins Colorado has flea market mile. Take care ! Happy holiday s!
Those sound great. I’ll put it on my list for possible stops. Thanks for your input.
Wow, flea market mile sounds addictive!
If the toys don't sell great before Christmas don't give up hope. I have a whole booth of toys in my Antique mall and around Christmas is my slowest on toys. I think it is parents have the attitude I am not buying you that because you getting blah blah blah for Christmas. In January, is usually my best month for toys. I think it is because kids get money for Christmas and they are looking to spend it so when mom or dad comes to the mall and has a kid with money burning in their pocket is when I sell like crazy. It was the same when I did the flea market years ago. Of course, I am in TN and have different clientele.
Interesting about the difference in sales. I didn't get to hold my downsizing garage sale in a timely manner this autumn, and have decided the holidays are not a good time to hold my mega sale, believing folks will be spending their money on their celebrations. And, because California winters are usually wet, it isn't a good time for planning an outdoor event. So, March, after taxes(!) and settling of the weather scene, seems like the next best time to plan my sought-after sale.
That totally makes sense. Thanks for the input and for watching.
