I may be wrong but I believe at the end when he gets on his knees, he's singing the last line (i love you) in Mandarin. He learned one of the songs for his 2017 run on the show in Mandarin so he's absolutely capable.
And when he looks straight into the camera he sings Mien Seni Suyemen (not sure about the spelling) - I love you in Kazakh.

His Mandarin's level is only limited to Hello I am Dimash, Hello I am fine,how are you …etc,because Chinese is too heard to learn and also he is tooooo busy. But from his recent performance I can hear every single word and he sing nearly like a mother tone…its impress me a lot and appreciate Dimash heard working ever detail on every song.I will be flying 9000miles alone to hear him sing on 3/21and 3/29in Germany. Cant wait to see him live.

Dimash sings All By Myself in episode 9 of Singer and My Heart Will Go On at the Hainan International Film Awards 2018. I guarantee you will love both. By the way, in this song Dimash sang I Love You in English the first time, then the other times he used Mandarin for the audience & Kazakh.

He is just a little devil when he sings. He just pulls you right in, like he's singing only to you. Saw him in December in NYC and I still haven't come down from the Dimash high, Phenomenal!

I also love that whenever he sings “I love you” before the traditional instrumentation comes in, he says it in Chinese. Transitioning the song into the traditional sound by a language change in the song... he’s so clever.
This performance blew me away. In this song, he sang the first I Love You in English, the second in Chinese for all his Chinese dears there, and lastly in Kazakh. When Dimash was talking, it was in Kazakh and that language does not translate in subtitles.

Many videos I watch from vocal coach react to this dimash performance, mostly same react like you sister how they're fell, but the difference is only you the one vocal coach talking about how dimash present with instrument... How about when he comes in on that traditional Kazakh segment. It feels like it's the sound board engineer but it's him. Kind of like a movie sweep in pan shot. Just get that wonderful Ooooh so quietly then crescendo-ing into a full sound.

It appears he is performing at the same competition he was in when he was 23, now as a guest. How special is that!
I felt that Dimash strained to deliver this one. I'm guessing either a cold was coming on or hadn't fully left him.
But I loved the arrangement, the wonderful flute parts, the Middle Eastern riffs, it all comes together beautifully and uniquely. And even when Dimash isn't 100%, he gives us all that he's got. And that's plenty enough for me.
I love the way he uses his hands to conduct his high notes.

Someone else you would appreciate that also performed on The Singer 2017 and also 2013, is Terry Lin. Dimash developed a strong friendship with him and often refers to him as his papa. He is twice Dimash's age and doesn't have quite the range but has a magical voice with great variety! Terry has performed with Dimash a few times as well. I highly recommend you react to him! You could start with the 2017 Singer performances, all are great, some are incredible!!!

Well done! For me, one of his best "emoting" performances is "Autumn Strong" - but given your propensity for understanding the emotions, go to Gloria Wu's channel, where you will not only see the translation, but the story behind the writing of the song. It makes a huge difference. Btw, my understanding is that Dimash does most of his own arrangements once deciding on a song. He, as it appears you also (have seen keyboard, 5 string bass and others), plays a number of instruments - there are also several videos where he seems to be fighting to get his own arrangements in the shows... keep up the great work!

Thank you for your insightful reaction to "Hello"! It's one of my most favorite performances with his beautiful voice, full of emotion, which explodes in the oriental tune, the flute, the lights, all together creating the atmosphere of intimacy and longing, in which the audience is immersed.
For next reactions to Dimash I'd like to suggest that you may make one video about 3 performances of "The Diva Dance" (Singer 2017 th-cam.com/video/23HYymUjIHE/w-d-xo.html, Bastau 2017 th-cam.com/video/o5zMupUOgQo/w-d-xo.html , and The Chinese Spring Festival Gala, 2020 th-cam.com/video/8T3J9TqU-QM/w-d-xo.html). The song is short and each performance has something different and surprising - if you do them in the order I wrote you are in for a treat :).
In the Singer and the Gala videos he sings other songs as well, and the overall performances are very enjoyable . On Singer he sings "The Diva Dance" after "Confessa", and the contrast between them is great fun to watch. In the Gala performance he is in a duet with a Chinese male opera singer, who performs female roles, and before and after "The Diva Dance" they sing a song from the Chinese opera "The Drunken Concubine". If you decide to skip the other songs, on Singer "The Diva Dance" starts at 3.13, and on the Gala - at 1.02 and ends at 2.27.
