It’s always more impactful on a show like this when the monster turns out to be human. I also felt bad for them, like Dean said they were only defending their territory they were just as much victims
My problem is that I've seen all of these episodes so many times that I can't tell if I'm recognizing actors from something else or just from the last few times I saw this show.
So my head canon is when Castiel pulled Dean from hell he healed his mind so even though he wouldn’t forget hell he’d be able to be more mentally stable and somewhat healed from the mental torture he experienced, otherwise I doubt he could function in the real world or act like he used to
Imagine for just 10 whole ass years doing one single activity, non stop. Not even sleeping or eating because im assuming you don't need things like that in hell. Would have been nice for the first episode or two we see Dean unable to deal with the fact that he is suddenly no longer in hell doing what he was starting to enjoy for the last 10 years, like a drug addict going through some incredibly disturbing withdrawal symptoms.
Yeah, man... If my kid seemed absolutely freaked out to be in the house and was talking about some girl in the walls... We would be fucking LEAVING. I'm tired of kids being ignored just because they're kids. That boy absolutely did not seem like he was lying. His parents were just straight-up ignoring the clear terror on his face.
This is an episode that I didn’t like very much on first viewing. Because like you, I wanted to get back to the main story. But over the years, it’s ended up being a favourite of mine. Because it ISN’T part of the main story. Once you know the whole story, you can let go of that eagerness to find out what’s going to happen, go back and enjoy the episodes you were in a hurry to “get through” the first time around. This is really good, solid, rewatchable episode, that showcases Sam and Dean at their most Sam and Dean-ness. One that I go back to a lot.
always enjoyed this ep. pretty decent horror story, and there was a horror film that came out earlier this year that did very well and had pretty much the same plot.
In my opinion, the next episode (ep 12) is another filler episode with no backstory or plot movement, but after episode 12, you’ll be spoiled with episode after episode of either backstory, plot movement, or a filler ep that’s really interesting.. I truly feel like this season will become one of your favorite seasons.. ☺️🙌🏼
This is actually 1 of the creepier episodes and I love it. Whenever I watch or even think about this episode it reminds me of the movie " the people under the stairs" with 1 of the actors from the original mighty ducks movie and with Ving Rhames. Check it out if you want
this episode is towards the bottom of my lists. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. i do feel bad for those kids in the wall and of course for Dean.
Not everyone likes this episode. I appreciate it, but it's not one I really like a lot. It's similar to The Benders from season 1, where it's humans who are the monsters. I think that's interesting. This may be a MOTW episode, but it's still relative to the main story in that the writer is using it to reflect on what is going on with Dean.
I did not like this episode much at all. I mean it was creepy, and the fact that they were human (again) was chilling, but I find this possibility so much harder to believe than the Benders. Following the last two episodes this one just really did not hit for me and in what is such a great season made it even more flat. If it weren't for the final scene it would be a never watch again one.

100% Agreed
The way Dean snapped at Sam for casually dropping the word “hell” was chilling

Lmaoo same

Creepy episode. Fun fact the mom in this, Helen Slater was supergirl in 1984.

Another similar one - starring Antony Starr! Called "Cobweb" ;)

The next episode might be filler but if you look closely theirs some foreshadowing about what's to come at the seasons end
My favourite episodes are the ' monster of the week' episodes. Just Sam, Dean and the Impala investigating cases. :)

Yes! It makes me think of that movie too! I used to watch that movie with my best friend all the time when I was younger, it was so creepy! 😄
show recommendation: peaky blinders

This episode is really dark.....
literally, we had to go night vision
These episodes when they're just people always creep me out the most...
